August 23, 1921 – January 26, 2012
Peacefully at York Central Hospital, on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, our pal James McCrudden, in his 91st year. A World War II veteran and machinist for Hawker-Siddeley. Jimmy worked on the Avro Arrow of which he was very proud. Jimmy dedicated his life to taking care of his mother and grandmother after the untimely death of his father when Jimmy was 3 years of age. His stories of life are forever etched in our memories. He loved to sing songs of times past and had a remarkable voice. He will be sadly missed by Bernice Gooding and his good friends Jane and Bill Collier. His favourite saying was “Always paddle your own canoe” and sadly Jimmy we must say “adieu”. A special thank you to Luis and all the staff at Sunrise Retirement Home for their exceptional care and concern.
As per Jimmy’s wishes there will be no funeral. Private Interment at a later date.
Arrangements Egan Funeral Home, Bolton (905-857-2213).
