Dear Gord – it is a big shock to read about the passing of your father. I met you on Monday evening while you were out for fish n chips with your dad. I introduced myself and we had a great chat with your dad about his days swimming at Jim Archdekin pool and me being the lifeguard. I am so glad I had the opportunity to speak to you both that evening. I hope Austin finds out about your dad as he mentioned he quite often speaks to him on the phone.
My deepest condolences to the entire family at this sad time.

Deepest Sympathy to the Morris Family. I met Jack through card games in Rosedale Village- I always enjoyed playing with him or and even having him as an opponent. I admired his strength and courage as he fought his medical issues, but still carried on with his life. He will be missed by so many in Rosedale

Dear family I extend my deepest sympathy to you at this time. Jack as a child was always interested in hockey and played with the other boys at the local outdoor rink at Davisville Park . It was before the time of organized teams just a group of boys from the neighborhood schools. Jack retained the friendship of many of the boys from his Eglinton school days, When he and his brothers each got a heavy wool Maple Leaf sweater from Santa one year, I am sure he dragged his younger brothers to the rink. Jack being a friendjy person enjoyed telling stories and probably recounted this big Xmas gift to others.

I am so sorry to hear about Jack passing away. I’ve known him for many years at a participant at Jim Archdekin Recreation Centre’s warm water pool program. When I first went to that pool in 1996, Jack and his good friend, Austin, immediately said hello to me, introduced themselves and welcomed me to the pool. I will never forget this kindness extended towards me. Also, Jack and Austin started the warm water pool Christmas pot luck luncheon that continues to this day. They also took Doug, a special needs young man to the Blue Jay games in Toronto. Jack was a kind, sincere and friendly man and I will never forget the positive impact that he had in my life. Thank you Jack. My sincere sympathies to all of his family in this difficult time.
