It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful husband and father Joseph Kigyosi (Big Joe) on Thursday, October 17th, 2024.
Born in Alberta (September 24, 1958) and raised on Rosseau Road in Toronto, Ontario, he was the apple of his mother Maria’s eye (d. Jan 11, 2007) and beloved brother to Attila (d. June 17, 2024).
Joe married the love of his life, Susan in 1984 and never looked back. They welcomed their daughter Crystal in 1986 and within a few years settled in Bolton for 33 years.
Big Joe was a brilliant and honest mechanic working out of Mississauga, where he cared not only for his family but also developed deep connections with his friends and customers, adopting them into his extended family.
He loved spending time at the cottage surrounded by family, playing cards, going fishing and ATVing.
He is survived by his loving wife Susan, his daughter Crystal (Edwin), sisters-in-law Maryanne (Rick) and Cathie (Bill), nieces and nephews Andrew, Michael, Jonathan (Sarah) and Sarah (Skylar), best friends Jill, Karen, Csaba, Dean, David and Jann, and his new extended family at Caledon Hills Fellowship Baptist Church.
To those who knew him he was a bright spark in their day that is unmatched. He is dearly loved and forever in our hearts.
A celebration of life will be held at Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street South (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Saturday, December 7th, 2024 from 3:00-5:00 pm to celebrate Joe’s life with his family.
Just as he did, his family welcomes you with open arms.
His family has requested that for those who wish to share fond memories of Joe, that they either create a video memory and send it to crys.music86@gmail.com by November 30th, or write down a memory to drop in the memory box to be shared at the Celebration. There will also be a microphone available to share those precious memories.
Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com

Dear Sue and family,
Our church continues to mourn with you over the loss of Joe. Personally, I’m thankful that I had the opportunity to get to know him this year, but the pain of separation is very real. I can only imagine the depth of your missing him. He was so easy to know, and I trust that his evident love for you all will be matched by your thankfulness to God for him. I am hopeful, because many times Joe heard from the Bible the good news message of Jesus the Saviour.
Be assured that we sincerely love you and continue to pray for you with sympathy and intercession.
Love Pastor Bill Henderson, on behalf of Caledon Hills Fellowship Baptist Church

Dear Susan, Crystal and families,
It is with profound sadness that we received the news of Joe’s passing.
For over 40 years, Joe has been our reliable and trustworthy mechanic, servicing all of our vehicles, including those of our sons. During
this time, we developed a very close friendship with Joe and for this reason, a visit to Big Joe’s always began with updates about family,
health and travel plans, with a few good laughs thrown in, too.
Even without an appointment, Joe was always available and happy to assess our car issues. We could just drop by to tap into his expertise! How lucky were we!
We have truly lost a very skilled and honest mechanic and a very dear friend. From our family to yours, our sincerest and heartfelt condolences.
The Fiacconi Family: Eros, Marsha, Adriano & Gianmarco
