It is with great sadness that our family is announcing the passing of Julie-ann Engelhardt on Monday, October 23, 2023 at Red Deer Hospital, Alberta after struggles with chronic illness. Julie-ann was a beloved Mother, Wife, Daughter, Sister and Friend. Julie-ann was born to Mary and John Lostchuck in Nashville, Ontario on March 9th 1962. She grew up in southern Ontario with a large extended family in the area. Julie-ann moved to Alberta as a young adult where she met and married Wayne Engelhardt. They started a family with 2 children Mary-ann and John Engelhardt. Julie-ann worked in Sylvan Lake for many years in customer service and was loved by all she met. She was kind, loving and forgiving. She enjoyed spending time with her family playing games and relaxing outside. More recently she loved being able to see her grandchildren. Julie-ann always brought light and laughter to any room she was in. People always enjoyed spending time with her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and any that knew her.
Julie-ann has gone on to be with her father John Lostchuck, her older brother David Lostchuck, mother in law Elanore Engelhardt, and many others that we love that have gone before.
Julie-ann lives on in the hearts of many. Her husband Wayne Robert Engelhardt, Daughter Mary-ann Louise Engelhardt, Son John Wayne Engelhardt, Daughter in law Natasha Elizabeth Engelhardt , Granddaughter Harleen Elizabeth Julie Engelhardt, Grandson Clark Steven Wayne Engelhardt, Sister Sharon Boynton, Mother (Edith) Mary Lostchuck and many more family members that meant so much to Julie-ann and mean so much to the family.
To honour Julie-ann’s wishes a formal service will not be held, however a celebration of life, gathering for family and friends will be arranged for spring 2024 for anyone who wishes to participate.
Thank you for everyone’s love and support at this time. If anyone would like to make a memorial donation in show of love and support please consider Canadian Lung Association or Canadian Spinal Research Association. Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com
