What a lady! I so enjoyed getting to know June during the time I was involved in her move to Bolton Mills Retirement Residence

Her in my prayers.

June will always hold a special place in my memory as a ‘get it done’ woman. I met her through St. James Caledon East, where she was a very active member. She had lots of ideas for fundraising events, usually presented as neatly typed notes. I treasure her cookbook – and make her antipasto every Christmas. We were lucky to have her with us as long as we did. Condolences to her family.

June was such a lovely lady. Always with a smile and kind words. I knew her from the post office, she would bring us fresh flowers for our counter and bring new the next time in. I treasure her cookbook and will always hold fond memories of her when I use it. Her antipasto was a favorite that she made for me one Christmas. A very delightful lady. My sincere condolences to her family.

June was truly one of a kind. I met her in my Tai Chi class in Caledon East, when she was 99! She was an inspiration to me in so many wonderful ways. I enjoyed visiting with her at her residence where we enjoyed meals together in the dining room. She had such a sharp mind and would share stories of her family. She loved them very much. She was well loved by all who knew her, and I for one will truly miss her spunky nature. Rest in peace beautiful lady.

June loved green the same colour as the stems of Roses (one of her great loves) June the flower seen from with in bubbles over into blooms , I so appreciated her Easter card to me which is still on my coffee table. With memories of June on my mind ; i look up into the vast blue sky and see her touching the clouds as they float by . Knowing June was a luxury in Life .

A wonderful and knowledgeable lady who left her mark, along with her late husband Keith, on the rose world. She had a big heart and always welcomed friends to her home.
Memories of June and Keith will stay alive with all who had the good fortune to know them.

June was such a kind generous woman I met through our shared love of roses. I had the pleasure of being a guest at her Caledon home for lunch several times. On the last visit, she was in her 90’s and heading to the local market with fresh gladiolas she had cut and arranged in color co-ordinated bouquets. What an inspirations she was and will continue to be for me.

June was a terrific lady, a wonderful rosarian, a great cook, and an outstanding hostess. She and her late husband Keith were a large part of the rose world for many years and, as her countless rose friends around the world can attest, June was truly special and admired by all. She was one of my rose gurus and friends for almost 50 years and I shall miss her.
Margaret Laver
My great grandma June was truly one of the most spectacular people that I have ever had the privilege of knowing. I will always miss her very much.

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of June Laver. June and I never met in person but we became friends via letters and email back in 2019 when I became Editor of the Newsletter for the Canadian Rose Society. Back then we weren’t sure the Canadian Rose Society was going to survive so I was looking for article ideas to bring our small membership together via the quarterly newsletter. I am a great believer in the personal touch so I reached out to June, as our oldest member, to see if she would agree to an interview via mail/email on her personal reflections on rose growing. Her reflections would then be published in the newsletter for other members to learn from and enjoy. June was enthusiastic about the idea so I was given the privilege of getting to know a lovely lady.
My sincere condolences to the Laver family. June was very special and will be missed.

Ed and I were longtime friends of June’s through St Hilary’s. We visited her many times in Caledon and always enjoyed her lovely lunches. I treasure her cookbook. She always said my mint jelly was the best but her “”everything else” was the best. Our deepest sympathy to the family. Olwen and Ed Davies

Leslie and I were very fortunate to meet June when we started our Tai Chi Journey 8 yrs ago. She was an inspiration to both of us in her desire to keep active despite her significant health issues. I enjoyed the many chats we had. We were fortunate to receive a number of Dahlia tubers from her when she moved to her Bolton Retirement residence. When they bloom each summer, they remind us of June.

June was one of my favourite patients. She had a great sense of humour and was always so appreciative of my help. I had the chance to get to know her niece and nephew Marilyn and Ken who took such great care of her. She will be missed.

I had the privilege of getting to know June in 2018 as she hired me to help her with her beautiful garden and assist her with house chores in her Caledon home. She taught me many things and impressed me greatly with her tenacity, vitality for life and sense of humor. A very kind and patient lady that was always put together and organized. She shared with me her baking recipes and love of Tai Chi, and even brought me to a class once. We kept in touch after I moved to Hong Kong and she typed me letters and sent me emails which I found so impressive. She was popular at her home in Caledon where she was very active, and her 2 cats kept her busy! A very special lady that will always have a lasting impression on me and motivate me to live life to its fullest with gratitude, grace and energy! Rest in peace dearest June, thank you for everything.
Love Tess
