Larry loved spending time with his family and friends at the cottage in Georgian Bay. He enjoyed skiing, hunting, curling, any project (especially building decks). Larry added to the ‘fabric of life’ in every situation and his love for life and laughter was contagious. Larry had a successful career in Marketing and Advertising which culminated in his most recent position as Senior Project Manager /Producer at Spark44 where he especially loved his colleagues and the positive energizing atmosphere. As Jimmy Buffet says “It’s been a lovely cruise”
Special thanks to Dr. Brian Kessell, Dr. Laura Harild and the medical staff at the Trillium Hospital network for their exceptional care and support during Larry’s illness

Joy and Family. I was very sorry to hear about Larry . We had a lot of fun together when we were kids. We always got together when my family would go back to Stratford. I would always ask about you guys the last couple of years when I would bring my mother ,his Uncle Frank back to Stratford to have lunch with Dianne , Shirley, Bill and Dinny. It hurts me that I could not make the party even more now. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Larry was one of a kind!!! He was strong, courageous, humble. A gracious host to friends, family and strangers whenever anyone stopped by the cottage always with a cold beer ready. He was a hands on fixer-upper and builder. With his tools and knowledge, you can see his many talents all over your beautiful cottage in Cognashene. May his memory continue to inspire us and be a blessing for all. Sending our love to you and your family.

Ever since I learned of his passing you all have not been far from my thoughts and will continue to be in this difficult time.
I have countless memories of Larry…Walden family get-togethers, summers at both the Kincardine and Georgian Bay cottages, trips to Caledon and even working with him on some freelance advertising projects in recent years. All of which I will cherish.
While it’s tragic that it was cut short so suddenly, it’s undeniable that Larry led an incredible and inspired life full of so many who loved him…a life worth celebrating.
All my love

Joy-Please know that we are thinking of you at this difficult time and hope that you can find strength in the memories of great times that you and Larry have shared over the years. Larry was first and foremost a gentleman and both Shirley and I are honored to have known him. Larry was the person who introduced us to Legacy Pines and convinced us that we would love the community. he was absolutely correct! His strong advocacy of the values he believed in-both personally and as a leader in our community-will stand as an example for many of us for years to come. Our thoughts and prayers are with you-we are grateful to have shared a small part of Larry’s life.

Joy: I am heartbroken to hear the news of Larry’s passing. I remember you two sitting on the deck in the late Fall all wrapped up and cozy watching the sun set. Craig and I are wearing our “Burnt Island” t-shirts today to honour Larry. What party you had when you purchased your wonderful cottage. We still remember Larry worrying over whether you paid too much for the cottage. Laughs. If there is absolutely anything that Craig and I can do to help you when you get back up to the cottage, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Hugs to you and your boys.

Michaela and I wish we could be at Larry’s celebration of Life today. We have been thinking of him and your family since we heard last week. As I told Larry, in an email in October? I always would pass your cottage on my way up to Margaret’s wondering what project Larry had completed. Now when I pass I will see him at a place he loved so much. Peter, Michaela and I have especially been thinking of you. hugs Deborah and Michaela

Hello Joy, Graham, and Peter,
I wanted to send you and your family my condolences about Larry’s passing. My parents, Brian and Grace, had told me about Larry and I was sorry to hear the sudden news.
Last evening, I was speaking with my parents and we were trading fond memories about growing-up and times spend together at St. James, Scouts and just hanging out together over the years. It had been a very long time since we have seen each other, especially since I saw Graham and Peter.
The last time that I saw Graham, I was still living in Toronto and we ran into each other unexpectedly. But, it was really good to see him.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
Kind regards,
Philip

First of all we want to send our sincere condolences to Joy and their children and family. I had the pleasure of being Larry’s roommate during our first year of university at Western Ontario.
We developed a close friendship, Larry was a genuine soul with a wonderful sense of humor.
Although we had lost touch over the years we had reconnected in 2017.
Unfortunately we didn’t have a chance to meet up in person.
Larry l just wanted to let you know that Liz and I will have a drink in your honor later in June when we finally make Manitoulin island our permanent home. R. I. P. Larry
You will be missed.
Your friends
