Your mother was a super duper amazing woman! We are blessed to be part of your family these past few years. Don’t mess with Linda ! She was a take charge woman. Her spirit will continue to live on through her amazing children and loving husband. I am sure right now she is up in heaven telling St. Peter how she wants everything done! Praise God! He gave us such a wonderful faithful servant who served her family, her jobs, and faith community well. Know that the Macs are with you in our prayers.

For Linda,
There are many ways to honour a friend,
Send cards, notes, and share stories to the end.
But for us Linda, we put down some things down,
To highlight our memories as life went around.
Paige met our foster girl Sarah and that’s where it started,
Inseparable friends, until high school they parted.
After their sleepovers, we would chat and talk,
Out of the vestibule at St. Tim’s we would watch you two walk.
You showed such a sincere interest in all of our clan,
Always questioning us about the kids, and wondering what was God’s plan?
But little did you know he had plans for you too,
Your faith and service grew and grew.
Then Lorne made friends and visited our boy Jesse Rowe,
We laughed at how nerdy, the behaviour would go.
We would often drive to your house where you cut our hair,
Your time and talents were always shared.
You drove the bus for our little Abbey,
You were always so kind and gentle, she said, “You were never crabby!”
To Steubenville, that great road trip, together we went,
A motley crew, but heaven sent.
If a question popped into your head, and you thought it worthwhile,
You went ahead and asked it in your forthright style.
You were honest and kind and articulated your text,
Sometimes we didn’t know what was coming next.
It seems like you did it all at St. Tim’s Parish,
Children’s liturgy, choir, lector, all the service we will cherish.
We never laughed so hard when you came to try out an EDGE night,
You never came back, because our ‘hyperness’ gave you great fright.
Your legacy lives on in the lives of your beautiful kids,
They will love and give to others as you always did.
Its hard to say good bye to an old family friend,
But by your faith in Christ our Saviour, we know we will see you again.
Love, The Casey’s, The Bowyer’s and The Wilson’s.

Words cannot express how sorry I feel for your loss. I was honored to have worked with her for a while. She had a way of always bringing a smile to people’s faces. Her quick wit will sadly be missed. May you find peace in knowing that she is now in the arms of Jesus.

Dearest Paul, Lorne, Grant and Paige,
We are so sorry to hear of the passing of your wife and mother. It seems that she was a “larger than life” woman in the church community and all who knew her and loved her family so much. Eventhough we didn’t know her well, just reading what everyone has written and knowing you, Lorne, I can see where you got your love and warmth for people.
Whenever we were at Tim Horton’s, we would chat and she always had a smile. We will certainly miss seeing her at the choir where she always stood proud and tall!! It is hard losing a wife and mother, but draw comfort in knowing that she is at peace and in Heaven with our wonderful Lord. You will always have her in your hearts.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you all.

I was saddened when I heard of your mother’s passing from John, however, I didn’t make the connection to you and Sarah until I spoke to Laurie St. Pierre at St. Benedicts School today when I volunteered in her classroom. I was unable to make it to the funeral home or to the funeral Mass but know my prayers are with you both and you family.
