My dear Kathleen, our deepest sympathy to you and the family at this very sad period.
It is almost impossible for both of us over here to feel what you all are going through especially since the very sad passing of Les hardly eight weeks prior.
I feel for Lionel, he was not only my brother-in-law, our friendship goes back a long long way to the early 50’s.
Perhaps all I can say to Lionel is, till we meet again sometime-goodbye my friend
With much love

We shall miss Lionel saddened at the news of his passing. We had many enjoyable times together! Playing at jamborees, senior and nursing homes, the number of dates with the Kentones, Sentimental swing etc. Many years with “The Good Old Days” association with John Carley, Greg Holmes and friends from Shelburne area. Times dropping back at the house for coffee with Lionel and Kay after the Bolton jamboree. He always remembered the dates of our birthdays and wedding anniversary. His birthday and age was less than a month after Ellenor.
