I am really sorry to hear of Lionel’s passing. I got to know Lionel when he bought my heifers at Hereford Sales. He was a very nice man.

Our sympathy to the McKeown family. I always enjoyed my visits with Lionel at Lindsay Fair and other Hereford events. He had great knowledge of breeding cattle both dairy and Hereford and will be missed.

Very sad to hear about Lionel’s passing. I have memories of Wylie & Ruby, John & Eileen,Howard & Ann(deceased?) and Lionel & Marie as our good neighbours when I grew up on the farm(Lester Little) on 27 sideroad (across from Wylie’s farm). Many good times were shared with our families. My very first babysitting job was for Howard’s son, Mark! Those were the good old days- when neighbours shared good times & hard work. It would be interesting to hear where the families are living now. My Dad passed away in 1995, and Mom(Eleanor) is living in Good Samaritan nursing home in Alliston in fair health. My brothers are David(Sandhill) and John(Maxell). All the best to the McKeown Family at this sad occasion.
