Margaret Lewis, a Mono Road treasure, was called home on September 14, 2009. The former proprietor of the Mono Road General Store lived her 93 years to the fullest with a passion for quilting, crocheting and volunteering. Predeceased by her husband Eddie, daughter Brenda and brothers Howard and Donald. Margaret will be remembered fondly by her sons Bob, Jim and Dave; daughters-in-law Mary Jo, Joan and Sheila; and son-in-law Bert Speirs. Margaret’s memory lives on in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren:Bonnie, Greg, Jessica and Gracie Mayden; Camille Lewis; Melissa, Tim, Taylor and Frasier Osland; Geoffrey Lewis; Jake, Beverly, Andrew, Kyle and Bertrum Speirs; Trevor, Cristy, Britany and Kaylee Speirs; Jody, Brant, Cassidy, Colten, Neil and Miranda Sneddon; Karen, Bernard and Gloria Tobin; Jackie, Dan and Marshal Eheler; Ed Lewis and Erin Peck. The family will receive friends to celebrate Margaret’s life at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213), on Sunday afternoon 2-4 and evening 7-9 o’clock. The funeral service will be held in the chapel on Monday, September 21st at 2 o’clock. Interment will follow in the ProvidenceCemetery.
