February 5, 1916 – July 9, 2012
Margaret’s daughters, Rosemary Benbow and Kathryn Dickison, are sad to announce the death of their dear “Mum”. Formerly of Yorkshire, Lancashire and Staffordshire in England, Margaret emigrated to Canada at age 88, bravely leaving her cherished home and her pretty garden to live with her family in Canada. Declining health necessitated a move to The Vera Davis Centre for the Aged, Bolton where Margaret lived comfortably for almost 4 years until her death. Margaret was predeceased by her beloved husband Edwin Arthur Robinson (1916 – 1974) and her dear brother Arthur R. Carr (1906 – 1986). In addition to her two daughters she leaves behind son-in-law J. Robert (Bob) Dickison, grandson Stuart Benbow and his wife Dawn and their children Devon and Bridget, U.S.A; grandson Darren Blake and his wife Marcia and their son Logan, Cambridge; grandson Gregory Dickison and his wife Mariska and their children Flora and Walter, Orangeville, who despite everything, could still manage to put a smile on Margaret’s face. She leaves behind in England an extended family of a sister-in-law, niece, nephews, cousins and a small number of very special friends. At Margaret’s request there will be no funeral, but a memorial tea will be held in her honour. She will be remembered with admiration and love.
