Dear Friends of Lisgar,
I have received the sad news that our friend and former LRA Executive Board Member Mrs. Marilyn Jennison (nee Nicholls) has passed away.
Marilyn, was an enthusiastic community leader for the LRA.
I remember meeting Marilyn at the AGM in the early 90’s when the LRA was forming. I was impressed with her enthusiasm, energy that she gave to our Lisgar community.
For many years Marilyn organized the tree planting, she initiated the birdhouse project, while supporting many other projects we were Involved in, including; the restoration of the 200 year old Kindree Cemetery, the Osprey Marsh Retention Ponds (Urban Design Award 2006) and extending the walking trails to connect the south and north side of the ponds
Marilyn was a wonderful person, genuinely kind, well respected member of our community.
Lisgar is a better place because Marilyn Jennison chose to volunteer for her community.
May She Rest in Peace.
