Marilyn was such a beautiful and joyful person. So many great memories growing up – walking across the corn field to the Waldner house hanging out in the kitchen for laughs, games and fun. Weekends with our parents hanging out (Friday nights at the Cardwell Arms) and living in small town Bolton (at the time).
Condolences to Scott and family. May you continue to cherish the memories of this beautiful person and continue to hear that contagious laugh.
With love,
Moira Chevalier

To Scott, Sigi and family,
I was shocked to hear of the sudden death of my talented teaching partner from Ellwood Memorial Public School. It was only about 3 weeks ago that by chance I had a nice visit with her at Headwaters Hospital after she had a slight fall. We reminisced and laughed about about our teaching friends and she asked how they were doing. Marilyn had a fun way of dealing with anyone and she was always the life of the party. Her son Scott, who I enjoyed teaching in grade 6, was very much like his mother.
Both of them loved life, despite their trajedies, and could adapt quickly to any situation. We will miss Marilyn greatly and hope she can reunite with Lisa and Chris.

Scott,
I only had the pleasure of knowing your Mom for just a short while but in that time grew to be very fond and attached to her.
She always greeted me with warmth & kindness. Her precious smile lit up like an Angel. I admired her fiestyness and her witty quick responses or how she would turn a compliment given to her into a humorous little joke.
She was a strong woman that had to endure the loss of two of her very own children and as sad as I am to hear of your losses I can’t help but smile knowing she is once again reunited with them.
Heaven gained another “Angel” when she passed.
It was an honour & privilege in getting to know her. She will be greatly missed!
She was blessed to have a son who loved her so dearly and who took such great care of her right to the very end!
My prayers are with you & extended family as you go through this difficult time in having to say goodbye!
Love you my friend!

Marilyn was such a vibrant woman who knew how to have fun. She was a golfing, bridge and walking friend and a great neighbour. She could light up a room and always had a clever repartee. She loved her family, her career and her garden.

I was sorry to hear Mrs. Waldner had died. She was one of my best teachers. I remember she always told us stories about her family in class and she loved all of you so much. Something in particular I remember is one morning she told us Lisa was going to get her drivers licence. Mrs. Waldner told the class she was nervous bc she was really hoping Lisa would pass and she couldn’t stop thinking about her. Then after recess we all came back to the class to find that Lisa had come in and written “Mom, I got it!” on the board while we were outside. And Mrs. Waldner was so excited she started crying. Even as a grade 3 kid, I thought it was really beautiful how much she loved her kids and how much they loved her (even though they were teenagers!)
