This news is hard to accept, and is a time our beliefs are challenged. Mario was a very interesting man, both a boss and a friend to many. A difficult combination, but he managed to be there for many of those who worked for and more importantly with him. I have been in the aviation industry for more than 50 years and he was by far the most fun man I have ever worked with. He made it fun to come to work and the industry has lost a star. My very deepest condolences to the family but take heart in the fact he will be missed across this land and remembered as a friend.
Donna Hart
What a lovely man. I have such fond memories of our fun Wardair days.. We were all so young and carefree. A terrific, trusted aircraft mechanic.
Definitely one of the good ones!

My deepest condolences for your loss. Mario will be sincerely missed by all that knew him.
I have known Mario 49 years, 30 of those as his business partner.
Mario always had a dream of one day having his own aircraft maintenance business.
In 1991 we threw caution to the wind left the airlines and Wright International was born and we never looked back.
It took a lot of hard work and long hours to make the company the success that it became.
Mario my friend, it’s been a long road and a lot of years. It’s been an honor knowing you.
Rest In Peace until we meet again on the other side

Mario is a legend at YYZ and will always be! He ventured into unknown pastures when he launched Wright International with his other partners.
He always took care of his employees and was an excellent manager!
He respected the regulations and always welcomed TC into his facility with no objections be it a scheduled visit or unplanned!
I have worked for Mario at Wardair then Wright International and was once his Transport Canada Principal Inspector.
Thank you Sir for all that you’ve taught me through the years.
To your family, my deepest condolences.

Condolences to the Sturino Family from me and my family.
May you find strength during this difficult phase in shared memories of time well spent with him.
Mario affectionately known as “Papa Mario” to many of us was a Titan in our Aviation Community.
He contributed to helping many people and AMEs during his tenure.
He gave AMEs an opportunity to develop, thrive and many of them went on to be leaders in our industry.
His ability to recognize the potential in everyone he hired and interacted with was amazing.
Rest In Peace Papa Mario, you are loved and will be missed.
