I’ll always remember how kind Mark was. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. The students also loved him – he would do special things at Jefferson like dressing up as Santa, spraying the kids on hot days and throwing tennis balls off of the roof for the kids to play with. Rest In Peace, Mark.
My condolences to his family.

Mark always had a kind word, a big smile, and a joke at the ready to brighten our days at Jefferson PS. He always took a minute to connect with people. Like Shannon, I remember him spraying down the kids on hot days at recess with the hose and flinging balls off the roof – they loved it, and so did we! He was missed when he left Jefferson, and we were always happy to see him when he visited from time to time. And surely he will be missed on earth by all who knew him. My sincere condolences and hugs to all of his family and friends, including Marty. <3

Mark was our custodian at Jefferson Public School. He would always make us laugh with his jokes and comments. We could always count on Mark to help us out in the classroom when needed. He was very creative making wooden snowmen; we will cherish the one we have at school. My sincere condolences. Rest in Peace Mark.

Dear Brenda and family, I offer my sincere condolences on the passing of Mark. As a neighbour, I found Mark to be very kind and helpful. Often I would look out my window to see him blowing the leaves into a pile on my lawn or trimming a tree or two. I have a couple of the stained glass ornaments he made. He had a real talent for incorporating nature into these treasures. Often while out on a walk, I would meet Mark and Marty and we would chat on our way home, with Mark showing me his latest find to add to his art. I will miss seeing him around. May he rest in peace. Brenda, my sincere condolences on Mark’s passing. I had the double pleasure of knowing him from Hilldale when my kids were there, and then working with him at Jefferson. He was always so much fun, and like other staff from Jefferson have said, we have so many great memories. May God wrap His loving arms around you and comfort you.

As others from Jefferson have said I also was so fortunate to have had Mark at our school. He always had a kind word and such a wonderful sense of humour. I remember the times when he brought all his cleaning machines to my classroom for our science unit and demonstrated levers and gears to an excited audience of grade 2 kids. After his visits they kept stopping him in the hall to ask him to come back. The best days for kids were when he was up on the roof. The joy and excitement made their day and ours too. He will always be remembered with great affection. I am sorry for his loss.
