Peacefully, on Wednesday, November 22, 2017, at King Nursing Home in Bolton, Marta Lapinskas passed away in her 89th year.
Marta was predeceased by her husband of 29 years, Vincas Lapinskas. She was the loving mother of Roman (Maureen) Lapinskas, Aldona (Ronald) Lapinskas-Callejas and Zita (Dinis) Valerio. Marta was cherished by her three loving grandchildren David, Vincent and Julia.
Marta was born in Batakiai, Lithuania on January 31, 1928. After World War II she moved to Nottingham, England where she met and married the love of her life. She finally immigrated to Canada in May 1954.
Marta was a loving and dedicated homemaker whose first priority was always the well-being of her family. She was strong, loyal and feisty right to her final days. She will be greatly missed by her family. We love you Nana!
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Monday evening from 5 to 8 o’clock. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Tuesday, November 28 at 12 o’clock noon. Interment St. John’s Lithuanian Cemetery, Mississauga.
