August 4, 1918 – July 10, 2021
It saddens me to announce my mother, Mary Alice Runham, passed away in the early morning hours of July 10, 2021, in her 103rd year. Devoted mother of Mary Ann Johnston (late Doug), grandson Bob Johnston (Cathy), great grandchildren Tom Johnston (Brooke) and Crystal Johnston and nieces. She was born in Guelph on August 4, 1918 and moved at a young age to Emsdale, Ontario. At 18 years of age, she moved to Brampton where she met the love of her life, George Runham (deceased 2009). They married in 1941 and moved to Trenton, Ontario while my father served in the R.C.A.F. Returning to Brampton in 1945 until Dad’s retirement when they moved to the cottage at Wasaga Beach. In 2015 she moved to King Nursing Home in Bolton until her passing.
Memorial service will be held at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Friday morning, July 16 at 11 o’clock.

We got to know and appreciate Mary while she attended First Baptist church, Stayner. One never left her home without a story or joke. She was a friend to all she met. She lived a full life and will be sorely missed.
