Albion Township has lost another as Mary Jean has certainly earned her wings fighting this horrible disease. I remember coming out of Peel Memorial Hospital after having given birth to Scott and she was on her way in to give birth to either Melanie or Christie. She will always be remembered for her playing the organ at Salem Church. Rest in Peace Mary Jean.

We will always remember the day we were going for a walk and your mother had recently moved into her new home. She was so excited and so proud of her new home she asked some total strangers in to see it. She had added her own personal touch which made it so homie and so cozy. We did not have the pleasure of knowing her for many years like a lot of people, but she was a genuinely lovely lady. Our thoughts are with you and all of your family

My mom will really miss Mary Jean. They had been friends for 75 + years. She has lots of childhood memories of them together. And after their children were grown they were able to get together at least once or twice a year to kibbutz, along with Marj Kennedy of course. They had so much fun together laughing and talking and teasing. It was fun watching them at the cottage. Mary Jean was the talker and my mom was the ‘bossy’ one. She will hold the memories close to her heart. My condolences to you girls. Your mom was so proud of you all and of your children.

Dear Shelley, Lori, Melanie and Christie;
So sorry for the loss of your beautiful mother. I was happy Mom and I stopped in to visit her while she was living in Bolton. Always friendly and upbeat, she was great to be near. I especially appreciated her organ playing at Salem church and she would take the time to rehearse with me and my choir friends in our younger days. My condolences.
