Mary passed away peacefully in Shelburne, on Friday, May 19, 2017, just a few weeks after her 82nd birthday. Mary leaves behind her husband John, of 49 years, daughter Jayne Akitt and Bob Moody who she thought the world of. She is predeceased by her first husband Bill Akitt who passed on July 27, 1965. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Shelburne Nursing Home who always treated Mom with the greatest care and respect. Thank You.
Respecting her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. The family would like to invite their family and friends to a graveside service at Caledon East Public Cemetery on Friday, May 26 at 2:30 o’clock followed by a luncheon at St. James Anglican Church, 6029 Old Church Road, Caledon East. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements by Egan Funeral Home, Bolton (905-857-2213).
