The reality of Nick’s passing has not sunk in. How could this happy to a man so full of energy? Nick is a personal and dear friend to my family. We have traveled together several times and made such wonderful family memories together. He was always ready with joke, and always wanted to make others laugh and put them at ease. Nick was a man who always put his family first, no matter what. For that I have a tremendous amount of respect for Nick. My heart is breaking for Mary, Dylan and Olivia. Words can not begin to express how badly I feel.
Nick was a very special man who touched many peoples lives. I’m so so sorry for the loss of such a wonderful person and friend.

To Mary, Dillion, Olivia and the D’Amato Family
Mary, I have no words. We were completely shocked about Nick and what had happen to him. The Lerra Family will miss him. His laughter, senses of humour, washing his truck every Sunday. We will miss his smile, jokes, I could go on and on about Nick. He was so interested in go cart racing when we moved to Bolton.
Nick is a teddy bear. I will always remember Nick with a big smile and waving hello every time I walked by and ride my bike. Mary, Dylan, Olivia and the D’Amato family will be in my prayers.
Losing, a father, a son , and a husband you lose your right hand. The father is the stem. Mary, Dylon and Olivia are the roses. Nick will always be shining over you.
Rest In Peace Nick.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love and bigs hugs

To the family of Nick,
Our deepest condolences on your loss. May he R.IP. We met Nick and Mary at a wedding just 2 months ago. We had the pleasure of sitting with them that evening. We had the best evening with both of them. We talked so much, laughed and danced up a storm. They made such an impression on us. The last thing I said to Nick was I hope to see you soon and then a big bear hug from him. I didn’t want it to be like this. We are so saddened of this news. Rest easy Nick.

I only met nick a few times, but I heard about him every day from Matt. Nick and matt worked closely together for many years! Big Nick this and big Nick that they had some good laughs together that’s for sure. What I do I know is that he was a kind loving man, always a gentle handshake for me. I know this hits hard for his family because it’s hitting hard for Matt. I’m deeply sorry that this has happened to his family, his wife and kids! And the many people he encountered along the way. We are all deeply sadend for this tragic loss. A man taken too soon.. Hold your loved ones and tell them you love them, because today is a blessing and tomorrow isn’t promised.
With love,

Dear Mary, Dillon and Olivia, as we reminisced last Friday night about the time and memories we shared with Nick and your family in the past, every moment was jovial and pleasant. It was always good. His sincere, welcoming smile and big hug will never be forgotten. It was so easy to be friends with Nick, we will always remember one of his favorite lines when we would ask how things were – “Everything is all good – yup that’s it – that’s all – all good!” May God envelop you with His Love, Peace, and Comfort during this time . May you be given the strength to continue the legacy of creating beautiful memories and sharing the joy of family and friendships. Nick’s endearing love and affection will will always be present with you. Our prayers and deepest condolences, – Gino, Ylenia, Daniel & Alessandro Turchiaro

I am a cousin to David/Linda. I did not know Nick directly. Still, with a heavy heart I sent my condolences to all of you in the loss of a husband, father, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. I send my condolences to Nick’s immediate family, siblings and parents and all those who loved him and who he loved. Life isn’t always fair and this is yet another example of that. With faith we know Nick is in a good place where one day we will join him. There are no words … and so I pray that with time and the grace of God, cherished memories will bring peace.

Dearest Mary and family,
Our hearts were broken hearing the devastating news of your loving husband Nick. We may have only met him a couple of times, yet we felt like we knew him from the stories you would share with us, the love we could see so clearly in your eyes as you talked about him, and the love we felt the two of you have for each other.
Words cannot begin to express how sorry we are for your loss. You are an amazing person Mary, your kind heart exudes from all that you are. You feel like a sister to Ann and part of our family.
Our thoughts, prayers and heart felt emotions, are with you and your family. Always know we are here for you.
All our love,
Ann, Ramiro, Michael, Michelle, & Moniz family.

The bible says to love thy neighbour and after being yours for 20 years you made it impossible not to. There was never a day we didn’t see you smiling, and cheerful . We will all miss our chats.. You were always kind, caring and willing to help in any way you could if ever needed. With your big smile and infectious laughter we could always count on you to brighten our day. If you ask anyone about Nick they always say the same thing “he was the nicest guy” and he truly was. We will cherish the many memories we have made with you over the last 20 years. Our hearts are heavy with sadness that you are no longer with us. Our only consolation is knowing that you are not truly gone, you are just away. You will forever live in our memories. May you rest in paradise.

It was close to 20 years ago that I met Nick’s dad, Fredy, at a rec centre gym. It didn’t take long to realize what a special person he is. It wasn’t long after that my wife, Deb, met Maureen and we have become the closest of friends. Our love for the Jays took us to Washington, Chicago, and Cleveland. Big Nick decided to join us on one of our trips to Cleveland. That trip was so memorable to both Nick and Fredy. Fred and Maureen reminded us of how special family time really is. While I’m driving around, cutting my grass, or sitting in my backyard, I can’t help but feel the heartache and grief the D’Amato family are going through.
To Mary, Dylan, Olivia, Joey, Michelle, Emma, and our great friends Fred and Maureen, we wish you the strength and courage to carry on. Big Nick will be so badly missed but thought of every minute of the day.

Our deepest condolences go out to the entire family. I haven’t seen Nick in a very long time. Growing up next door to this great family when I was young was a gift. There were times when Nick was an older brother to me when we were children. If it wasn’t throwing darts in his backyard, it was playing hockey in the street. Gone too soon. I will absolutely be making a donation in his name. Thoughts and prayers go to all of you at this difficult time.

Mary, Dylan, Olivia and family. My deepest condolences….I’m still in shock and my heart will be broken forever. Nicky and I had an instant connection and were brothers from the moment we met. He was someone I could always count on to make me laugh, encourage me and have my back with anything I needed. A truer friend did not exist. He loved his family so much and spoke of you often about how proud he was of you all. It was such a blessing to have you in my life…I will miss you always. Farewell my friend.

Nick was my childhood friend, living across the street, Gwillam Crt. We’d spend countless hours at each others’ homes, or we’d be playing, in the court or swimming or skating at Albion Arena. The D’Amato backyard was THE place to be for fireworks, they had the “burning schoolhouse,” not just the sparklers. All of Nick’s friends would gather on the hill in their backyard! Nick was well loved and a good friend to all. My heart is broken for Maureen, Fred, Michelle, Mary, Dylan & Olivia. May his memory live on in the hearts of all that loved him. Rest in Paradise, Nick.
