I knew Nina when she was a young schoolgirl in Lancashire: even then, industrious, trustworthy, always of pleasant demeanor, modest, caring, and thoroughly honest. We always stayed touch in the following years as we made our ways in different parts of the world. It was always clear that Nina retained those same wonderful qualities throughout the rest of her life. Her devotion to husband James and to her “boys” was always complete, a great and solid foundation for her career as a teacher. Our fifty year friendship is now gone, but Nina will always be remembered with great affection and respect. Sincere condolences to James and the family.

Nina was the closest thing I had to a 2nd mom. Throughout highschool I’d spend countless hours with her boys at their house on Humberlea in Bolton; they were (and still are) my best friends. It was remarkable the patience and forgiveness she had with 3 boys (5 including James and Sherlock) in the house! Always keeping us all out of trouble – or at least trying her absolute best. I’ll always remember you, Nina. See you again someday.
My deepest condolences to the entire family.

James and family, I am so sorry to have read about your devastating loss. Niña was a lovely lady, with a heart of gold. I met her through yourself and Debbie at Anders. As my son was having such a hard time in school, I had to remove him. Niña came to my home and worked with my son. She was so kind to him. I know he would like to offer his condolences as well. As he had always remembered her fondly. please know you are in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless

Nina will always be remembered as the loving teacher that I long to be. She always held her students’ needs close to her heart. As my mentor teacher, her warm and caring smile, along with her English accent, gave us many a laugh and smile. As the household matriarch to James and the boys, I know that there will be a huge place for someone to fill. Rest in heaven peacefully, Nina, and know that you will be sadly missed in this world. I wish that there were more people like you.
