My deepest sympathy to you & your sons Mark.
I have very fond childhood memories of Noralee growing up in Cypress. She was always so happy and positive. She most certainly did not deserve the hardships life presented her with.

Dear Mark and family
I am so shocked and sadden to hear of Noralee’s passing and my heart goes out to all of you at this very trying time. I would like you to know that I have thought of Noralee so many times over the years. I can still remember getting on the bus with Noralee, I think we were around 7 years old, and it came as a great surprise to Gaby to find me walking down the road after school. I did this every day for a week. It was Noralee that finally convinced me to get on a horse. I can still hear that caring voice assuring me that we would be OK. I have a scar on my cheek from walking through the woods with Noralee. She was holding the branch and she let it go (accidentally) and it cut my face. Most kids would have just had a laugh but Noralee made sure it was OK before we carried on. For me Noralee was a gentle soul with great empathy and concern for people. She will be sorely missed by all.
As my Mum would say when I was feeling sad and lonely and living miles away from the people I loved “Can you feel my arms around you” and I pass this on to you. My arms are around each one of you giving you my love and support.

Words cannot express our profound sadness and surprise in hearing of Noralee’s passing. I have lost touch with many of my Nobleton Friends but the ‘Cummings Clan’ were often in my thoughts. Noralee and Mark exemplified everything that a loving couple and family should be. Our deepest condolences to Mark, Brett, Kurt, Carter, Hayden and Owen. Their wife and mother will be sadly missed by them especially, but also by all of us who had the honour of sharing some of her far too short life. May she rest peacefully and wait in heaven to be reunited with her boys. God bless you Noralee.

Dear Mark and Boys, Even though we have not seen each other for many years, there is a bond that can never be broken. We grew up with Noralee and some of my fondest memories are of the Sholdice family. I am sure there is not a Cypress River girl who cannot remember walking out to the Sholdice farm for some adventure. When I remember Noralee, I think of her zest for life and always laughing. It was infectious. Please take care of yourself Mark and know that many people are with you in spirit.

There are no words that can completely say how one feels in this situation.
Knowing Noralee(Mom) for several years now, was our pleasure to know her. Noralee(Mom) was always smiling and glowing about her boys and so proud of each and everyone of them. Knitting in the car between games at the Provincials was her way of calming the nerves & taking away the stress for her boys(and Husband) for the upcoming game. Coaching Kurt, Carter, & Hayden has been our pleasure and their mother smile is in them, they can light up a room with their mothers smile.
Please accept our condolences.
May God Bless you all in your time of sorrow.

they are with us now, wherever we are.

Our hearts are filled with sadness at this time for the Cummings Family. Noralee was a wonderful Mother. Not just to Brett,Kurt,Carter,Hayden and Owen, but to all the Nobleton kids who played endless hours of Road Hockey, Man Hunt and many other games at The Cummings House. It was the gathering spot for so many kids. Marc and Noralee welcomed each and everyone of them. All my children have wonderful memories of Noralee. Joshua especially felt like he was part of the Cummings Family. He loved her. She will be missed by all of us. The wonderful memories will be rememered always.Love Joe,Liz,David,Kristina and Joshua

Noralee was everyone’s friend growing up and it sounds like she has carried on the tradition her mother, Gaby started of caring for everyone she touched and making her home a welcome place for all who came through the door. taken from this world way too soon but the ripple effect of her life will continue to live in all who knew her. Hugs to all who will have to learn adjust to a new way of living without this wonderful woman.

Mark, Leah and I want to express our deepest sympathy to you and the boys on the death of Noralee. We have over the years kept current through Terry on Noralee’s valiant struggle to overcome the dreaded cancer that ultimately ravaged her body. For you to lose your spouse and the boys (young men) to lose their Mother must be heartbreaking. As a Mother she undoubtedly was the focus of the family and will be missed terribly.
May God Bless you all and keep you.

Its been many years since I’ve seen Noralee – but I will always remember that big smile that could light up a room! Keep all of your memories close to your heart and find comfort knowing that you have a special angel watching over you.

To Mark and your sons,
please accept my sincere empathy for Noralee’s passing. It was shocking news. We sometimes wonder why people with such zest for life and love life so much have to be taken so soon. The only answer I have come up with over the years is that only God knows why. I don’t always like that answer but it has given me comfort. It is my hope & prayer that it will comfort you and your sons.
I was just thinking of Noralee a couple weeks ago, when I would drive her home to Cypress from Winnipeg for the weekend while she was in nursing. I would listen to her excitement as she talked about her schooling and I knew she would be one of the best, most caring nurses. As many have said, it was her nature to love and to care. We all saw that growing up with her and you were fortunate and blessed to see that for all these years after our school was done.
As you mourn and help your sons mourn, I would encourage you to celebrate and treasure the memories you have from when you first liked Noralee in high school and share them with yours and Noralee’s sons. She has left a legacy for you all to be proud of and share.

Dear Mark,Brett, Kurt, Carter, Hayden, and Owen,
Noralee’s mum and family,
It has taken some time for the news of Noralee’s passing to sink in.
I can’t imagine the pain and loss you are all feeling, you have my deepest sympathy. Noralee and I took a year long trip of a lifetime together in Sept.1988 to New Zealand and Australia. Noralee was there when I first met my husband to be, the first day we arrived in Auckland. She was a great friend and travelling companion, we had so much fun together. The many hours that we spent travelling on the buses across Australia. We would try and do overnighters on the bus to save money on staying at backpacker’s. Some of the bus drivers got to know us as we kept getting on and off on their routes. I have so many photos of the times we had together and I will never forget them. Our last stop together on the way home was Hawaii, and Mark you came there to meet her. I think that was when you proposed to her. Although I hadn’t seen Noralee in many years I often thought of our trip together. You were an amazing person, so kind and caring. Noralee was a favourite in some of the backpackers and hostels we stayed in as she was always ready to wash everyone’s dishes!
You are all in my thoughts and prayers and will continue to be into the future. I pray that you will feel God’s love and peace in the times to come. Lean on Him, He will give you the strength you need to get through each minute of every day. Love one another and be kind to each other. Noralee will be with you forever.
Blessings,
Elizabeth.

We were deeply shocked to hear of the passing of Noralee. She was a wonderful, caring and dedicated mother to her boys. She always had a smile and brought a ray of sunshine into our pool whenever she was present.
She will be sadly missed.
Please accept our deepest sympathy during this difficult time.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

We were shocked to hear of Noralee’s passing. We met her and Owen at George’s Pool. She would sew, as she watched Owen swim. We would talk about our children. She would always tell me how much family and her children meant to her. We wondered where she and Owen were this year and now we know. Owen, Anthony expresses his deepest sympathies at this most difficult time and is thinking of you. Owen, your Mother will always be with you.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Words seem so inadequate, but may these help in some way to let you know that many thoughts are with you all.
We met Noralee almost 10 years ago at George Jacobson’s pool, where our son, Alex, had lessons, over those years, with Carter, Hayden and most recently, Owen.
We were shocked to hear of Noralee’s passing. We will miss that infectious smile.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all,
Judy, George & Alex

Mark its been alot of years we go back. Noralee and I met through Marna Laurans in Winnipeg. I had met you at Marna’s wedding that Noralee and I stood up back in July 1988.. I am sorry to hear about her passing away. I cant understand how it could happen to the most kindest , thoughtful person out there. She was so amazing. My thoughts are with you and the boys. Wishing you all the best.
