My sincere condolences to the Gromacki Family.
Olive spent many years volunteering at the Caledon Parent-Child Centre.
I have fond memories of watching her rock with a sleeping infant nestled in her arms.
Her warm cuddles always brought calm to the little ones.
She was a very special lady.

Olive was a dear dear friend for many years.
I would go to her house to wash and set her hair. Sometimes I would trim her hair and give her the occasional perm. She always had a cup of tea waiting for me in her ” Brown Betty”. W e had many outings; we did grocery shopping, drive to Brampton for fish and chips and frequent yard sales.
She had many fascinating stories , especially about her childhood in England and the hard times during the war.
She was truly a treasure .everyone was a “dear”.
A friend….Paulette.

My Dad,Lawrence use to get quite a chuckle when she would say.
“Keep your pecker up”
She certainly had a way with words.

So sorry for your loss, Steve & Barb. Lovely Olive was one of my favorite fixtures when visiting the Parent Child Center with my boys when they were young. I would often give her a lift home after her volunteer shift ended as it was on my way home. We would pull up to her driveway and Charles would run out to my car with a handful of candies. She lived an amazing long life while touching so many others, and I will remember her with fondness.

I have so many beautiful memories of Olive. She was such a thoughtful and giving person, who was a dedicated volunteer, at the Caledon Parent-Child Centre, for many years. Her love, for the children and their families, brought so much encouragement to them. As staff, we always looked forward to the days that Olive would be there with us and the joy that she brought, to all of us, at the Centre. My prayers, for peace and comfort, are with you during this difficult time.

I have many memories of Olive. I first meet Olive when I moved from Montreal to Bolton. I did not know anyone so I gave my name in to volunteer at the Parent Child Centre. I was asked to help out Christmas of 1997 and Olive was the other volunteer helping along side of me. She put me at ease when I wasn’t sure what I was doing. She was so lovely. She was fantastic with all the volunteers, their families and all the children that came into the Parent Child Centre. My kids especially loved her. We had many great talks over the years. My thoughts are with you in this difficult time. I will remember Olive always.
