It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Patti Wiley at her home surrounded by her beloved husband Frank Berzinis and her so cherished daughter Christa Fontaine (by live stream). She is pre-deceased by her parents Gordon and Patricia Wiley, and her sister Maureen. Patti is survived by her sisters Shaune, Erin Boyd (Steve deceased), and her brother Drew, with whom she shared a special bond. Lovingly remembered by her Aunt Joanne, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and especially by BetteAnne Folkard, her sister-in-spirit. She will also be missed by Frank’s family. Patti had so many friends and she will be remembered as a great party organizer! After retiring from Xerox Canada as a service manager, Patti became an avid participant in Bolton community activities. She loved golf, adored tennis and trounced many on the squash court. Mention the word ‘Euchre’ and Patti was there! Although our hearts are heavy, and our tears unending, we will carry her memory with us each and every day. Her shining smile was the bling in our lives!
Due to the global pandemic, a private family memorial mass will be held in Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Bolton with interment of cremated remains in St. John’s Lithuanian Cemetery, Mississauga.
Donations in her memory may be made to the Parkinson Society of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society.
Arrangements by Egan Funeral Home, Bolton (905-857-2213).

I offer my most sincere condolences to Patti’s beloved husband Frank, who selflessly and lovingly has never left Patti’s side for a moment during her unbelievably graced and blessed passing, during these past two months. His devoted commitment in fulfilling her prayer, given in his promise to her that she would pass away in her beloved own home, was of epic proportion to witness. Patti‘s vibrant personality and her love for the extraordinary reflected in all she did. Her bright smile was bestowed on everyone. It has been a privilege to have had her as my sister-in-law! Patti has left a huge gaping hole in our family!

Patti was adored by our Organization, Caledon Community Services. She was a regular and much-loved volunteer at the Exchange and lit up the place at the reception desk, in the kitchen, you name it. She had a warm smile and kind word for everyone that dropped in. People knew upon talking with Patti that they had come to the right place.
I had an evening with Patti last year where we poured wine together at CCS’ booth during the Palgrave Rotary Wines of the World event. We had three or four wines to offer guests, we spent the evening sipping and debating which one was best. We sipped a lot! We also talked a lot, we had five or six hours together with people who were enjoying lots of wine! It was one of the most memorable events I’ve had in Caledon, largely due to my company. We shared lots of stories and in particular we talked about our children a lot. Patti told me about her “admiration” for her daughter, told me exactly why. My kids are a bit younger. I left the evening driving home thinking about admiring my kids as a parent, it felt right and it felt like she taught me something. Patti left an indelible impression on that evening. I’m a regular in the Exchange, Patti was usually there on Tuesdays and I always made it a point to find my way there to talk a bit. She warmed my soul, she inspired me to do good work, she was an absolutely lovely woman.

It was heart-breakingly sad to hear that beautiful Patti had passed. She was an absolute delight to be around. Playing euchre together, Patti always had her quirky smile ready whenever a clever play was made. She could be so damn funny!
I loved listening to Patti talk about Christa. She adored her daughter and was very proud and supportive of the decisions she made. In one conversation Patti shared how much she admired Christa’s courage. Wow. That was one spectacular mother-daughter relationship.
My sincere condolences to all who knew and loved Patti, and particularly to Frank and Christa.
Patti, you have left a footprint in my heart. May God rest your soul.
Blessings, Edith

So very saddened to hear of Patti’s death. I met Patti at Xerox and always enjoyed my friendship and interactions with this lovely work colleague. My deepest sympathy and prayers.

Patti came into my life with her signature smile when I was transferred to Xerox Airport Park in Mississauga in 1981 as a Customer Admin Manager. She taught me a lot, and we had so much fun. We became close friends. She sparked my interest in golf and also introduced me to the only cologne I have ever worn since – always think of her when I put it on. There is a big hole in the universe without Patti. My condolences to all – in particular Christa whom I met a couple of times many years ago.

May our Lord bless and comfort you and your family during this time of grief. It was a blessing to know Patti these past 20 years. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Patti was my service manager at Xerox in the early nineties. She ran a tight ship and everyone respected her guidance and fairness.
She organized many company functions and weekend get togethers with her service teams that were always fun and well organized.
On a personal note, I had twin boys with health issues and she was always there to provide whatever assistance I needed to balance my work and home life.
A fine person, she will be missed.

R.I.P. dear Patti. You have enriched so many lives with your presence. Your soul, goodness, your constant smile and great sense of humour were such an attraction. Your love for your Family, your daughter Christa and husband Frank was what drove you. The world will be missing you every day. You left so soon and unexpectedly. Deep condolences to the Family.

Patti hired me into Xerox many, many years ago. It was my first corporate job and I stayed for 12 years. I remember her well – so funny and smart. Always with a twinkle in her eye and ready for some fun. I was sad to read this news and send virtual hugs to her family.

Rest In Peace Aunt Patti. Thank you for being such a big part of my life, sharing in so many memories and being so supportive all the way through. Your sweet giggle will always echo in my heart. My love goes to Frank and his family, as they say goodbye to this incredible soul and to my darling Christa, as she says goodbye to her mom, who will live on through everything she does. There are so many family members who are mourning and so many friends who are saying good bye but through the stories and memories she is with us, always. I love you Patti, so very much, thank you for being you, and making it look so incredible!

I had known Patti for over r 45 years, and was in both weddings parties.
You will be sadly missed. You were a great friend even though we haven’t seen each other for a while. I worked with you at Xerox for 14 years before I had my 3rd son. We always tried to meet each year because our birthdays were only 1 month apart. You were always so positive and always smiling and happy. I will truly miss you.

My thoughts and prayers are with Patti’s family at this difficult time and I’m sorry for your loss.
I knew Patti for many years at Xerox , but it was only after she had been my service manager for a few and we were talking at a team event, that she had probably organized that we made a real connection. Patti and I realized we had both grown up in Swansea, and the penny dropped that I had gone to school with her brother Drew for about 8 yrs.
I always liked having Patti for a manager, and I know you will all miss her greatly.

Patti was my first Manager at Xerox. She hired and gave me the opportunity in 1988. She was fair , funny , and a caring Manager. She was the greatest! I know she will be missed by all her friends and family. I know one thing though , she is in peace with all the angels looking down upon everyone in Heaven. She is in heaven where there is no pain but just freedom and laughter. Through these tough times please stay strong and remember all the great times Patti gave us. Patti love you! Patti and I worked together back in the late 70s, at Airport Park, and again in the late 80’s at 121 Bloor St. E. Such a pleasant person, always smiling, bright personality, a lady you enjoyed being around. One of the many lessons I learned from Patti, was to “do it right the first time”. She always did it right. I will remember Patti, a great lady.
Suzanne Brown
Our deepest condolences to Frank, Christa, both extended families and all the ladies in her wedding party: Luba, Vicki, and Catherine.
Thank you, Frank, Christa, Drew, Bette Anne, and Laima for taking such good care of my beloved friend Patti.
We have lived many moments together and have created memories that will remain throughout our lives.
I felt Christa before I met her.
Sue Brown – Patti’s baby shower
We’ve known Patti and Christa throughout our life cycle from playful young children, self-absorbed adolescents to adulthood – or as Drew coined us as adults, “Good Citizens”
– Matthew and Cammie Ouellette (Sue Brown’s children)
We met Frank the night he first laid eyes on Patti at Billy Bob’s Bistro, and fate had its way – we were in each other’s wedding party.
– Gareth and Sue Brown
I’ve known Patti for 38 years – We have experienced both sides of the emotional spectrum – not just the happy times like feelings of love, gratitude, and wonderful memories. We also experienced sadness, yearning, and some painful times – raising children – the sting of divorce – the ebbs and flows of being single again – to finding love again.
I will always admire her for being:
Adventurous – we traveled the world together
Competitive – her athleticism predominated many years
Organized – a meticulous party planner
Competent /Achiever – esteemed position as Service Manager – Xerox
Generous and Helpful – always there for me and my children
Thank you, Patti for having such an impact on our lives, and making it rich with love.
Love you always… Your friend

She will be forever missed. Many many fond memories from my early youth when she joined our family to more recent memories with a trip to Hawaii. It’s hard to believe she is gone. I am glad I got to see her over the past Christmas holidays in good health. I will forever remember her smile and the warm love she extended to all in her family. Hang in there Christa and Dėdė Pranai.

My sincere condolences to Frank, Christa and family.
I have many fond memories of Patti, mostly from the Airport Park days at Xerox.
We worked hard, built strong lasting relationships and had a lot of fun. Patti was a big part of building that culture. I can still feel her energy… she would walk in, with that twinkle in her eyes and big smile, and say “so, we haven’t had any fun for a while” or “so, how do I …”
Patti was eager to learn… loved and respected her team members & colleagues… and was full of positive energy. People responded to her and were eager to be a part of whatever was going on, including diet contests, parking lot BBQ’s or off-site meetings & activities.
I am grateful to have known her and will cherish the memories

My sincere condolences to the family.
Patti was a great colleague in my days as a service manager in West Branch. Always with a ready smile, she gave us all a great perspective on managing with compassion and care.

Another Wiley daughter gone too soon.
I have been a Wiley family friend for almost 50 years and was honoured to give the eulogy at both her mother Pat’s and father Gordie’s funerals. Patti was my favourite of the Wiley girls. I saw her often at the many Wiley family occasions I was kindly invited to, at Drew’s many parties and dinner parties and at the yearly parties I used to throw when I lived in the city. She was a big help to Drew when her parents needed looking in on and looking after. She took understandable pride in her trim appearance, her work accomplishments, in her daughter Christa and in her wonderful marriage to Frank.
She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered. My sympathies go out to Frank, Christa, and her family and friends.

I will miss you Patti so very much !
I 1st got to know Patti when we both worked at the “Airways Centre” on Airport Road for Xerox Canada in the early 1990’s. Our paths crossed occasionally & I’ll always remember her beautiful smile.
I was fortunate enough to then get to know Patti much better when she hired me as a Xerox “Service Support Specialist” in the spring of 2004. I not only got to work for her but also along side of her as I supported her Service Team.
We became very close work partners & friends. She was always so fair to all – generous & supportive as well.
I feel so very blessed to have known her.
My condolences go out to her daughter Christa & husband Frank who she always spoke about with so much love & admiration.

Dear Christa, Frank and family,
We are wishing you strength and the comfort of beautiful memories during this difficult time.
We are heartbroken about the news that Patti has passed away!
Over the years Klaus and I had many fun get togethers with both, Patti and Frank which created ever lasting memories.
I met Patti many years ago on the Squash court and we became friends playing and travelling for the Squash Team. We were also working together for a while and every minute spent with her was a pleasure.
We will dearly miss Patti’s gentle and positive personality and most of all her bright and beautiful smile.

My heartfelt sympathy to you, Frank, the love of Patti’s life and to you, Christa, her cherished daughter. I was so saddened to hear of Patti’s passing and your loss. I worked with Patti for 8 years at Xerox and enjoyed and admired her endless energy, positive outlook and love of life. During this time, she took charge of organizing many Customer Service employee events, with the help of Karney Thomas. Patti made sure all details of the food and activities were taken care of, to make the occasion special and fun. It was truly my pleasure to have known and worked with Patti. I will always remember her wonderful smile and infectious laughter. My heart goes out to you and your family at this difficult time. I hope your wonderful memories with Patti are of some comfort. Sincerely, Sharon Brubacher

“If music be the food of love, play on.” This is how I remember Patti—always bouncing with endless energy and positivity. I first met her at 121 Bloor. As a colleague, we had many meetings where she would not be afraid to voice her opinions. She was a hard worker and got along with everyone. At Xerox events, she organized the music and activities.
I am saddened to discover she has taken her final journey and know that she has left many with fond memories of her vivacious presence. My heartfelt condolences to Frank and Christa.
