I will always remember my ‘Uncle Peter’ who was really a cousin of my mum. When I saw him last summer at one of his favourite haunts, The Blue Pig near Hardcastle Cragg, he was his usual measured and canny self. I am sorry to hear of his passing and hope all who knew him will remember him and smile.

Annemarie, Gail, Keith & Richard,
I am truly saddened to find out about the passing of Peter. (unfortunately, much belated).
Peter was a very dear friend and a true gentleman.
The times I, my wife and children spent with Peter and all of you formed everlasting memories.
My sincere condolences. I wish I found out sooner.

Peter,
Thanks for everything. Your friendship and kindness have left a deep impression on my persona.
You taught me many things which I am tremendously grateful for.
By the way, I believe that there are a number of fairly good EUCHRE players in Heaven, so practice a lot.
The better ones will be joining the table in the future but, hopefully, not too soon.
R.I.P. my good friend
