Peacefully at home in King City on Friday, February 4, 2022, Peter Stevens, at the age of 86 years. Loving father of sons Jeff and Jay, and daughter Linda. Cherished grandfather of Raissa, Jacob (predeceased), James and Michael. Proud great-grandfather of Reeve. Dear father-in-law of Chris and Tara. Predeceased by his father Paul, mother Raissa, sister Natasha, and spouses Carole and Dale.
Peter started working at The Stevens Company in 1956 and served as the company’s President from 1966 until his retirement in 2007. He always spoke to the strength of the Stevens employees and was proud of what the company accomplished during his time there and beyond.
A fisherman, a golfer, a Maple Leafs fan and a rescuer of many golden retrievers. He led a full life, filled with travel, great stories and he always looked forward to the next adventure. During the last years of his life, he rescued four golden retrievers in the last stages of theirs: Samantha, Monroe, Rusty and Lola.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Golden Rescue.

Jay, my condolences on the passing of your dad. Peter was such an amazing person to me. He made me feel comfortable and treated me like family since the day I started. I enjoyed our conversations with your dad. He always made it a point to stop by and ask how I was doing. He always told me, “if you’re not learning something new every day, we at Stevens, are not doing our jobs properly”. That statement always stuck with me to this day, and he was so right. I absolutely learn something new every day!
My thoughts are with you and your family.

Peter gave me an opportunity to work for The Stevens Company for a period and enjoy a few fishing trips in the vicinity of the cottage on Lake Joseph and Georgian Bay. I learned much from Peter the many hours we spent together. both on the water and in the Medical business. Most memorable, the recipe for smoked salmon in a portable outdoor smoker.
RIP Peter

Goodbye Peter
Where ever you have gone,
May there be no CBC,
May all your Indian food be the perfect amount of heat,
Your Heinekens perfectly chilled,
February is to be spent in South Africa,
August Salmon fishing on Georgian Bay,
Martinis always Bombay with a twist and may all your double downs always pay.
Fond memories
