My thoughts, heart and prayers go out to the Family and Friends of Peter. We were friends from high school and later, when he and Alice weren’t waiting for the pizza to be picked up after a night at the Bushholm a little poem surfaced that went like this ” Oh Petey, Oh Petey, We’ll be friends through thick and thin, Peter Out or Peter In.” Cleaning Chicken Coops at Wortley’s, choking with masks on, or chilling at the annual pig roast….so many many GREAT memories to have forever. Thanks for the honor of being able to know you, maybe we’ll meet up again one day. Until then, Rest in Peace my Friend.

Living close by as our familys did, Pete was always the fun loving big brother. From the cool 325BMW to the groovy hair, Pete was a kind and outgoing sort of guy. My friend Mike and I would watch the parties with a bit of disbelief and envy. I give a warm and compassionate hello and hope that you will live in the realm where time and space matters little .

My thoughts of Pete go way back to a time when our families sought support while settling into life in Canada together. In Christmas dinners together, family celebrations and many visits together. The Unwin’s were the closest I knew to being family…and Peter and I were the eldest. I will celebrate the life and memories of Peter with joy and of his meaning in my life.
The Papadeas Family
The entire Papadeas family sends it’s condolences to the Unwin family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
Words cannot express our deep felt sorrow.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. Great buddy to hang with in the 70’s. Had a wonderful phone chat with Pete a couple years ago.

One beautiful, warm, sunny day in August a few years ago, Pete, Alice, Kim and I spent an afternoon together. I had not seen Pete and Alice and Kim for many years it was a wonderful afternoon filled with good conversation, joking around and laughing. We all took a trip down memory lane that day and it was wonderful. I am grateful for that day.
Hearing the news of Pete’s passing today, I am sad and find my thoughts going down memory lane again, the Mayfield High School years, the Busholm, the BBQ’s, Algonquin Park, the many times hanging out.
Pete was a kind, easy going, fun-loving guy with a great smile and laugh……and the hair…great hair in high school.
To Alice and your sons…and to Kim… my heartfelt condolences go out to you..and I pray for you to find comfort at this time.
Rest well and be in Peace Pete…you are as free as the wind now.

I,m very sorry to hear about Peters passing.I was very shocked to hear this news.I will always remember the camping tips i learned from him many years ago.Whenever i hear someone talking about going camping i think of the time that we all went camping together. The night we didn’t get any sleep due to the teenagers making so much noise on labour day weekend.
Once again im very sorry for your loss.
