At Headwaters Health Care Centre, Orangeville on Monday, March 22, 2010, Pierino (Primo) Gaspari, (holding the Olympic torch), living to the age of 95 years. You touched our hearts. You showed us how a true man should live out life. Pierino was always known as a simple man, kind to everyone, never complaining, always cheerful. He was seen always going for his walks around Bolton, he would always follow his regular routine of walking and eating healthy. Coming to Canada in the early 30’s from Gissi, Italy, he left his mother (Teresa Gaspari), 2 brothers, Ubaldo, Alberto and sister Rose Maria. Pierino was dropped off alone by his father Giuseppe. Here in Bolton, he started his family. Beloved husband of the late Gaitana (Tina) Gaspari. Loving father of Carmela Gaspari, Rose Mary Melanson, and Anne Gaspari. Dear father-in-law of Mel Melanson. Cherished grandfather of Philip and Jennifer Melanson, Melissa and Brad Quinn, and great-grandfather of the late Grace Lyn Rose Quinn and Jordan Quinn. You ran the race well Grandpa, and how fitting that you held the Olympic torch just weeks before your passing. The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Friday morning, March 26 from 10 o’clock until time of funeral service in the chapel at 11 o’clock. Interment St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, 16066 The Gore Road, Caledon. Condolences for the family may be offered at www.eganfuneralhome.com We will always remember you. We know you are in heaven with Grandma, Grace and Jordan now and the angels are celebrating in your presence, we will see you again someday.
Love always and forever
