Rick was one of the most amazing, caring and funny person I’ve ever had the honour to know. The list of lives he has enriched just by being himself is endless. Whether you only met him once or knew him all your life, Rick was like family. He can never be replicated. A true living legend of what a husband, father, grand father or friend, should be. Helen, Trevor and Tammy I am so sorry for your loss. Rick can never be replaced and most certainly he will never be forgotten.

Helen and family we send our deepest condolences. When we moved to Caledon East in 1972 we joined a bowling league to meet people .. and we did – many of whom are friends today, several we’ve lost. So, we remember Rick, and you Helen, very well. 51 years later, we are still in CE and thank you folks for welcoming us to the community.

I was very sad to hear of Rick’s passing. He was a gentleman of the first order and I will miss him at bridge.
Despite all he was enduring, he always put on a brave face and cracked a joke…….however bad it was! I cannot
imagine the grief that Helen must be feeling, but somehow, somewhere, I know he is watching to make sure
his “bride” is safe. I wish you peace, Helen.

Many fond memories living across the road from your family ! Watched the kids grow to be two wonderful kids in the neighborhood as well as students at Elwood. He was a great Dad and a wonderful Bolton business person whom gave so much to Elwood as a parent and to our community! He was a great role model for the kids that bowled at Skyview Lanes. He mentored many young people to become successful bowlers and gave many a way of expressing joy of laughter and fun through sport. A great personality that added so much to our community of Bolton. You have many memories that will bring great joy to your loss.

Rick
Dear Helen, Tammy and Trevor,
We are so sad to hear of Rick’s passing. He was such a lovely person. As a kid bowling on Saturdays I remember Rick never treating me like a kid, always respectful, with a kind word or something funny to say. Years later we would end up as neighbours, my own kids always eager to get to the Salaway’s for the full-sized chocolate bars that Rick would hand out on Halloween, and seeing Rick walking around the neighbourhood daily. Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
