(Founder of Erskine’s Service Centre, previously known as Erskine and Hazelton Service)
It is with great sadness that we announce Bob’s passing at Bethell House, Inglewood, after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Barbara Fendley for 57 years. Loving father of Rob (deceased 1972), Mark (Terri) and Kelli (Keith Poole). Cherished grandfather of Jake, and Kasey Erskine; Kyle, and Megan Poole. Predeceased by his parents Earl and Rebie Erskine and sister Lillian Calhoun. His outgoing yet compassionate personality made him a friend to many and allowed him the privilege of participating in special moments in many people’s lives. His friendship and wisdom will last forever. The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home Baxter & Giles Chapel, 273 Broadway, Orangeville (519-941-2630) Tuesday afternoon 2 – 4 and evening 7 – 9 o’clock. Funeral service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday, June 23 at 2 o’clock. Followed by cremation. If desired memorial donations may be made to Westminster United Church, 247 Broadway, Box 34, Orangeville L9W 2Z5; Headwaters Health Care Foundation, 100 Rolling Hills Drive, Orangeville L9W 4X9; “Bethell House” Hospice Caledon Foundation, Box 75, Inglewood L7C 3W6; Canadian Cancer Society, Dufferin Branch, Box 296, Orangeville L9W 2Z7. We are so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. Peter Jr. and Matt. speak fondly (?) of the time they pumped gas on Broadway. I cannot think of the Fergus Market without remembering the time Bob asked us to pick up cheese for him when we stopped for gas on the way there. Our thoughts are with you all.

Dear Mark and family. Please accept my most sincere condolences for your loss. Bob was a fine man both to his family and in his business ethics. Mark you may wonder why it always took so long for your Dad to either take me home or to come and get me but it was because we reminesced about days gone by and anything else we could talk about. I truly feel your loss and hope that you can cope. I am propud to say I knew your Dad and was his friend.
