Born in Prince Edward Island, Robert Martin, at the age of 82 years, passed away peacefully at Hill House Hospice, Richmond Hill. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joan, and his two daughters, Jo-Anne (Michael Grier) and Holly (Murat Beshtoev). Bob was a loving Grampa of Sydney, Wesley, Olivia, and Simone.
During his lifetime, Bob touched the lives of many with his kindness, warmth, and gentle nature. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, always putting his family first. Bob had a deep love for his wife Joan, and their bond was an inspiration to all who knew them.
As a father, Bob was a constant source of love, support, and guidance. He took great joy in watching his daughters grow and was always there to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. His unconditional love and wise advice were cherished by Jo-Anne and Holly throughout their lives.
Being a grandfather brought immense happiness to Bob’s life. Sydney, Wesley, Olivia, and Simone were the lights of his world. He delighted in their accomplishments and treasured every moment spent with them. Bob’s love and presence will forever be engraved in their hearts.
Bob enjoyed golf, cards and BBQs. His gentle spirit, warm smile, and sense of humour will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and strength that will continue to inspire and uplift those who follow in his footsteps.
A memorial visitation to celebrate Bob’s life will be held at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S. (Hwy. 50), Bolton (905-857-2213) on Friday, July 21st from 12:00 – 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to Hill House Hospice, 36 Wright Street, Richmond Hill L4C 4A1 (www.hillhousehospice.ca) in Bob’s honour. Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com
