Sandra and I have been in each other’s lives since we were born in the same hospital just 5 days apart. We continued our friendship over the years, through high school, as young marrieds, parents, and into our senior years. We spent many happy times together. Sandra was always bubbly and so much fun to be with. She is going to be missed dearly by me and so many others. Rest in peace Sandra.

Sandra was such a beautiful individual inside and out, as she treated everyone with the outmost respect and appreciation. I’m grateful and thankful to have had her as an aunt in my life, and I will forever remember all of the wisdom, guidance, and suggestions she passed down to me over the years. If there’s one thing Sandra did best it was live life to its fullest, making the most out of each and every day. We all should live life like this to honour her legacy!
To everyone who Sandra had an impact on over the years, know we always have one another to lean on. We are souls with bodies and not bodies with souls, so know Sandra’s soul will live on in this world and vast universe.
Thank you Sandra for all the backyard family gatherings over the years, and thank you for putting such an importance on keeping family connected.
Peace, love and happiness to everyone in a sad time of loss.
Forever in my memory and heart,
Love James

Sandra was my Big Sister. I remember when I was young, she invited me to join her boyfriend Bill on many picnics and road trips to Niagara Falls. Later in 1967, Sandra kindly invited me to join her and now husband Bill to Canada’100 year Birthday Bash, Expo 67 in Montreal, Quebec. Good memories.
Over the years Sandra was instrumental in organizing and hosting many family get togethers. Happy and Cherished memories.
We have huge respect and admiration for the brave and valiant battle she fought against cancer. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.

Dear Bill and family,
Sad to hear of Sandra’s passing. We did not see much of one another over the years but when visiting with Aunt Eileen as a youngster Sandra was there from time to time. Back then I would think this lady is kind, happy (beautiful smile) very pretty and I liked her instantly. We saw each other over the years again from time to time and she remained the same to me. I will always remember her this way. She would always remind me of the one time her and Bill babysat me for a weekend when I was like two and the fond memory she had of that time along with my characteristic’s. Indeed Heaven has received another beautiful angel. Peace be with you all. God Bless XOXO

Bill, Reg, Margaret and Families
My heartfelt condolences for your loss.
My siblings and I received this sad news late, otherwise, the Brumpton family would have been well represented at Sandra’s memorial.
Sandra was my second cousin. Her grandmother Daisy Wakefield, was my grandfather, Richard Wakefield’s sister. Our mothers were cousins.
Sandra was 12 years older than me however we did make a connection later in life in 2010 when I attended the annual ‘Cousin’s Lunch’ (for our mother’s generation) held at the Mandarin. Sandra had participated in years before me. The photo below is from that 2010 Cousin’s Lunch.
From then on, we exchanged Xmas cards and emails, sharing our ancestor’s photos and just this last Dec 8, 2022, we spoke for 96 minutes by phone and Sandra told me many interesting stories about our great aunts & uncles and she identified many of our ancestors in vintage photos. Her family knowledge was invaluable.
Sandra was one of my favourite people as she always had uplifting and encouraging words (especially since I had my 1st born at 63 years old). As well, her infectious smile would light up a room. She viewed her relationships with her family and friends as her priority in life.
RIP Sandra, you will be remembered and missed.
