I only had the pleasure of knowing Sandy for the last year. She was a good person. She had so much love to give. We had alot of laughs together. We often told each other, that if we had of met when we were growing up, that we would of got into a lot of mischief. She was a hoot. She adore her son – Ryan and her two granddaughters – Kaitlyn and Carly. I only hope now that she and her and dog – Gus are together in heaven. I love you Sandy, and I am going to miss you very much.

Ryan, I’m so sorry for your loss. I’ll miss your Mom’s almost daily news updates that she provided me, whether they were updates on the Oprah shows, news events that we both had a lot to talk about, her ongoing “pin cushion” tests, medical treatments that she was enduring, but mostly I’ll recall the daily “little things” that we discussed that was happening in her life or mine at any given time. Ryan, she was very proud of you and only had good words to say about you, your wife, and her grandchildren. I’ll miss her chats, her “excuse my french” statements, her opinions and thoughts on current events, but mostly….. I’ll just miss my friend.

40 years ago, Sandy and I were school friends. My family moved from Toronto to Bolton, and I really needed a sympathetic ear and warm heart to help me feel accepted in a new school. I, a stranger in grade 12 found one of those friends in Sandy. She was a kindred spirit with whom I shared life’s philosophies and metaphysics with.
One of the sparkles of life in my soul has her name on it. I will miss running into her at the library book sales.
May her family and friends be comforted by sweet memories in this time of sadness.

I can not believe I have just heard of Sandy’s passing. We were friends before you were born Ryan. Your Mom actually helped me move on a Halloween eve. She teased my daughters hair so much for trick or treating it was impossible to get out
Your Mom spent many a Friday night with us for a pizza and movie night
I,m so sorry we didnt stay in touch
