Our beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother, Shirley, age 90 years, of Nobleton peacefully passed on Monday, December 23, 2019 to be with her beloved husband Dick Williams (1929-1999).
Mom was surrounded by the pure, unconditional love that she had bestowed upon her family all of her life. She will be greatly missed by her son John (Sheilagh), daughter Anne (Peter), grandchildren David (Michelle), Ricky, John Christopher, and Jessica, her great-granddaughter Hannah and her step-grandchildren Alexandra (Brad), and Katrina.
Through her actions Mom taught us many lessons over the course of her life, most importantly to love your family, be kind and respectful to others, work hard, and always stand up for what is fair and right. She led a very simple life, living her values and loving deeply. A special thank you to Kathy and Janet who made her final days peaceful and to Tara whose care, guidance and love made it so easy for us to say goodbye. Give Dad a kiss and a hug for us, Mom.
In keeping with Mom’s wishes, no visitation or public funeral will be held.
desired, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

You may not remember, but Dad built your mom’s and dad’a home when they moved to Nobleton. They always stayed in touch with our parents and were very much respected in the community. I know it broke her heart to sell in Nobleton, but quickly fit into the seniors building in Schomberg. Shirley and I met regularly Saturday mornings at Foodland, two seniors helping each other seek out the specials. We will miss her greatly, but not nearly as much as your family will. Our sympathy.

I knew Shirley from Nobleton where she worked at the pharmacy. A lovely lady who always had a smile and a kind word. Last time I spoke to her she was moving to the manor in Schomberg. I will miss her greatly, as one of the kindest, gentlest woman I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. May the love and support of friends and community be a comfort to her family.
