We are neighbors of Cathy and Mike. I will miss Mike asking me to come and cut his grass every time I was cutting ours, one day I went over and did it, really surprised Mike. We will miss seeing him with beer in hand and always a friendly smile and wave. We will miss you so much, Mike, rest in peace.

With Mike being a friend of my Aunt and Uncle, I’d spent time with Mike and his family at cottages over the summers, and just having a good time over BBQs and drinks. I knew Mike to be an upbeat man, right there listening to you so he could jump in with a clever comment. I will miss the brightness he brought to any gathering. My condolences go out to Kathy and his their two boys, Mark and David. Stay strong, and remember you have friends and family who love you and are there for you. RIP Mike.

Mike worked for me for the last 4 years of his life and he was a dedicated and extremely loyal employee, he took his job seriously and performed above all expectations. Ironically he once told me that he planned on working for me for the rest of his life, who would have thought it would have been such a short duration. He was more than an employee he was a very close and dear friend and I am going to miss him dearly. My sincere condolences to Kathy David and Mark.
Rest In Peace Mike, you were very special.

If there is one characteristic to adequately describe Mike Staley, it would be his enormous heart. He was always bringing people together with his great spirit and zest for life. Mike would willingly give the shirt off his back to those in need. He will be dearly missed by our family and all those close to him. Our endless support goes out to Cathy, Mark and David.

Buckwheat! There is no civil way to say goodbye on the internet! Although I am really peed off you are gone, I cant help but be thankful for the time we had together. From my unscripted youth to present, ALL of which you were there for, I wouldnt have changed a thing. There are so many memories I could list (for the benefit of others), but suffice to say…You were one of a kind! You were a one in a million in the way you treated my sister and her challenges, an exemplary father to your boys, an admirable friend to all that knew you andI I’m especially thankfull with your brutal honelsy in the influence you had/enlightened me on many facet’s over the past 28 years. There are not the proper words in the dictionary yet to say goodbye properly….Thank you for giving us Mark and David that will keep your mannerisms, bad jokes, etc. alive and remind us of what a kind, gentle person you were. I will always remember our MANY good times and protect your family as promised .Really going to miss you my friend!

I remember Michael as a young boy with an always sunny disposition and a limitless supply of patience.
God bless him on his journey and my sympathy to his family.

I worked with Mike for a year four years ago. He was one of my suppliers. One of the best at that. We quickly became friends and when I moved to work in Bolton remained in touch, meeting every so often for a beer at Toby’s. We would sit and laugh and exchange news about families and life. In fact, I was planning another meeting at Toby’s very soon when I learned about Mike’s passing away. I often think about Mike and will miss him greatly. He was an extraordinary man.
My sincere condolences to the family.

Cathy, Mark, and David:
There just aren’t words to express how shocked we were and how sad we’ve been since we heard of Mike’s passing. Over the years, all of you have been such good friends! We’ve especially enjoyed the many Happy Fridays spent with you, particularly those by your pool or by your outdoor fireplace. We can’t tell you how many laughs we had listening to stories from Mike, especially those about his teenage years. We have sincerely appreciated all of the work Mike did at our cottage. In fact, we’re not sure who loved going there more. We are glad to have pieces of our cottage and dock built by Mike that we’ll always be able to look at with fond and happy memories.
The days ahead will be tough. Please know that you are surrounded by a solid circle of friends that you can count on to be there for anything you need. We loved Mike and we will miss him always.

Henry & I both feel the loss of a son-in-law, but loved him like a son and good friend. Mike lost his parent’s at a young age and always treated us with respect & love and more,
Mike was a wonderful husband who loved his wife unconditionally and took his “vow’s” very seriously and always stood by Cathy’s side through her many challenges she faced.
Mike lived a simple but very rewarding Family, Friendship & Employment Life. Kind, Big hearted always willing to share his home, family, a meal his belongings and sometimes his beer.
Mike has touched the heart’s of many, his personality was like a magnet and drew you in with his conversation.
We thank him for his contribution to his family and for making Our World a better place.
Mike has taught his teen-age twin son’s David & Mark to Love, Learn Value, Respect, work hard, be loyal to friend’s and job, perform beyond expectations, have a good sense of humor, friendly wave or smile and the best of all have fun in life.
Peace be with you Mike and to All of you-You are one-of-a-kind! Henry & Edna Gagnier-Ma & Pa (Sparky, Buckwheat)
