May 7 1947 – May 16, 2021
Passed peacefully in her home on Sunday, May 16, 2021. A lover of horses, dogs, and stray animals, she was known to rescue a bird or two. A wallflower by nature, Susan enjoyed volunteering for her community, and sharing her beautiful singing voice through church and community choirs. A talented and quick typist, Sue spent the majority of her career working as the secretary at Bolton United Church.
Preceded by her husband Daniel, and parents William and Dorothy Addison, she will be dearly remembered and missed by her daughter Whitney Sweet (Paul Charbonneau) and son Henry Sweet (Paul Curtis). Cherished sister to Judy Pillsworth (Bob), and Carol Stubbs. Loving aunt to Bill (Nicole), Scott, and Laura. Great Aunt to Ashley, Brady, Addison, Rowan, and Rosie. Extra mom to Jaclyn Judah (Matan) and “Gramma Sue” to Max. Grandma to Echo the dog and Bubba the cat. Beloved by many friends here and departed.
Forever imagined with her beautiful silver hair in natural finger waves, her listening ear, laugh, and apple crisp.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Liver Foundation.
Due to Covid-19 regulations, we have chosen to hold a memorial at a later date. Join us on the website dedicated to Susan where stories, memories, and photos can be shared. celebratesusanlove.wordpress.com

I remember how close Whitney and Henry were to their Mom. My thoughts and prayers are with you
as you adjust to this incredible loss. No matter how well prepared we may have been, when a loved one passes, it’s a shocking moment that will stay with you for the rest of your lives.
On the brighter side, memories of the time you spent with your Mom will always stay with and comfort you. Her legacy of teaching and showing you both the way will live on for generation after generation. Honor her by living your lives as though she is be by your side for eternity because, in this sense, she is.

Memories
Here’s to the ones that we got
Cheers to the wish you were here, but you’re not
‘Cause the drinks bring back all the memories
Of everything we’ve been through
Toast to the ones here today
Toast to the ones that we lost on the way
‘Cause the drinks bring back all the memories
And the memories bring back, memories bring back you
There’s a time that I remember, when I did not know no pain
When I believed in forever, and everything would stay the same
Now my heart feel like December when somebody say your name
‘Cause I can’t reach out to call you, but I know I will one day, yeah
Everybody hurts sometimes
Everybody hurts someday, ayy ayy
But everything gon’ be alright
Go and raise a glass and say, ayy
Here’s to the ones that we got
Cheers to the wish you were here, but you’re not
‘Cause the drinks bring back all the memories
Of everything we’ve been through
Toast to the ones here today
Toast to the ones that we lost on the way
‘Cause the drinks bring back all the memories
And the memories bring back, memories bring back you
Doo doo, doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo
Memories bring back, memories bring back you
There’s a time that I remember when I never felt so lost
When I felt all of the hatred was too powerful to stop (ooh, yeah)
Now my heart feel like an ember and it’s lighting up the dark
I’ll carry these torches for ya that you know I’ll never drop, yeah
Everybody hurts sometimes
Everybody hurts someday, ayy ayy
But everything gon’ be alright
Go and raise a glass and say, ayy
Here’s to the ones that we got (oh)
Cheers to the wish you were here, but you’re not
‘Cause the drinks bring back all the memories
Of everything we’ve been through (no, no)
Toast to the ones here today (ayy)
Toast to the ones that we lost on the way
‘Cause the drinks bring back all the memories (ayy)
And the memories bring back, memories bring back you
Doo doo, doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo
Memories bring back, memories bring back you
Doo doo, doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo doo
Doo doo doo doo, doo doo doo (ooh, yeah)
Memories bring back, memories bring back you
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, doh, doh
Memories bring back, memories bring back you

So sad to read of Susan’s passing. My sincere condolences to her family. When remembering Susan, I recall my weekly piano lessons with her Mother Dorothy Addison at the family home on hwy. 50. I would enjoy visiting with Susan and her sister, Judy and continued to maintain friendships into later years. Susan will be missed by her children, her sister and her many friends. Remember the good times to help in the days ahead. Christina Graham (Leavens)

Hello Whitney & Paul, Henry & Paul,
Seems like only a short few years since I was visiting in the family home on Hwy 50, hearing the stories about your father. I recall Dan’s printing/publishing friend standing up at the service, speaking about the gifts your father had given to you.
Now it is time to celebrate the gifts that your mother has given to you. There was lots of love, respect and appreciation. Sue was a calm and steady presence in the BUC office. She kept the same spirit of grace about her even when she had a story to share, like a car accident that had happened.
You will have many happy memories and strengths to recall with friends and family when that is more of a possibility.

Death leaves a heartache no one can heal and
Love leaves a memory no one can steal.
May the memories of Sue held close to the hearts of her family and friends
be a loving reminder of a wonderful woman who was taken from us too soon.
Another angel for Heaven’s choir.
