Dan and family,
My sincere condolences. That word is not enough to capture how sorry I am at the loss of such a beautiful soul. Sue and I worked together for many years and I treasured her as a partner. Although our life paths separated us over the years I will always consider Sue a dear friend. We shared a lot of laughs and a lot of rolled eyes and bitten lips regarding some of our colleagues at Macville. That said, I will keep her great laugh and her gracious spirit in my heart and in my memory.
She was one of the really good ones and I will always remember her with much fondness.
Dan please know that you and your family will be in my thoughts as you all journey through this difficult time. Sincerely and with love, Catherine.

Sue was such an amazing person. I know that personally she made me a better person and over the years our friendship was a constant source of joy to me. Knowing and loving Sue was such a pleasure and a great joy. The world truly was a better place just because of her. I will miss her terribly and feel so fortunate to have such rich and treasured moments to remember. She was my chosen sister and I’m so very blessed to have had that privilege. Words like kind, thoughtful, giving, loyal, dependable, uplifting, happy, joyful, considerate generous and the list just goes on and on. Please know while my heart is heavy my spirit knows how lucky I was to have her as my dearest friend

I can’t remember how I met Sue (it was that long ago) but I the first thing I noticed about her was that she had a great laugh. One that stood out. It was full of knowing and joy and whimsy.
I saw that she loved to teach when I took a Cuisinart course from her at the community centre. I always remember how careful she was with following the recipe and any safety steps along the way.
Our kids went to different schools but we always seemed to run into each other in town or through some event or activity. I was lucky enough to call her my sorority sister for many years.
To the Hussey family, your Mom was one of a kind but I’m sure you already know that. She was a wonderful, considerate person, a fiercely loyal friend and someone who would lend a hand any time it was needed.
Plus, that laugh!
She will be greatly missed.

To Dan and Asmita, Murphy and Chloe, Dan Snr, Michelle, Callan , Liam, Keegan, Maeve, Nikki, Nick, Ben and Makayla:
It was a great joy to get to know Sue . She has left a lasting impression on us all even though we knew her for only a short while. She was beautiful, kind and gracious. My sister Asmita was lucky to have her as a mother-in-law and always said, “Sue does not have a mean bone in her body”.. We got to see that for ourselves. The week we spent together at the cottage will be our beautiful lasting memories of dear Sue.
May all your lovely memories of her help you as you cope with her loss.

The service for Sue was a lovely one and she would be so touched by the tributes, especially from her children, Dan and Michelle.
I just had a rather poignant moment and thought I would share. I pulled out a teapot that I use only rarely for guests as we are all coffee drinkers. As I wiped off some dust I remembered that it was Sue who had bought it for me after a visit at our cottage where – there was no teapot! I use it maybe once a year and it was fate that it came out so soon after the service. It made me sad – but happy that I will forever think of her whenever it comes out. She was a sweetheart.

To the bereaved family and relatives.
The foregoing remarks bear testimony to the lovely person Sue was.
Her soft and charming voice would be missed by all especially my two granddaughters who called her ‘Grammy’.
Simply put Sue was calm, cool and collective.
She shall live on in our memories.
