It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Terry, at TorontoWesternHospital, on Tuesday, September 17, 2013, beloved husband for 39 years of Sheila. Loving father and greatest friend of Lindsay and Michael. Predeceased by his parents Tom and Ren and his sister Sandra. Fondly remembered by his Aunt Marg, many cousins, the Kerins family, and their spouses, along with many nieces and nephews. His infectious smile and way with words warmed the hearts of all he came in contact with. The Kingsborough family would like to thank the University Health Network and Home Hemo Dialysis Unit, and the Kidney Transplant Team for many years of their wonderful care and support. Terry was a strong supporter of the Trillium Gift of Life through organ donation to the very end.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S., Bolton on Saturday morning, September 21 from 10 o’clock until time of a memorial service celebrating Terry’s life which will be held in the chapel at 11 o’clock.
Followed by interment of cremated remains in Caledon East.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Trillium Gift of Life Network, 522 University Avenue, Suite 900, Toronto M5G 1W7 or Toronto General Hospital, 200 Elizabeth Street, Toronto M5G 2C4. Condolences for the family may be offered at www.EganFuneralHome.com
He will be forever cherished

Terry may be gone on his journey, but he will never be forgotten. A wonderful brother-in-law, Uncle and dear friend to Bob, who always had a great smile and kind word for all.
May Sheila, Lindsay and Michael gather strength from the many memories they have. Our fondest memory of Terry is with the many conversations we’ve had and the last word from Terry was always “love you guys.” We love you Terry and may you be at peace.

Terry and Sheila are one of my oldest and dearest friends and have been with me thru thick and thin. Terry was always such a great source of information for me during my trying times. What I especially loved and respected about Terry is he told it like it was.
My condolences to Sheila, Lindsay, Michael and all the family during this very difficult time. I have wonderful memories of our times together from being up at the cottage at Lake Joseph, dog shows, dinners together or just hanging out. Terry was such a wonderful friend to Tom and made regular visits with coffee in hand for him during his illness. They had a great bond in friendship.
God bless and rest peacefully, Terry. We will remember you always. xx

Anne Hutchinson and Paul Richards
It is with much sadness that we mourn the loss of our dear friend Terry. We both knew Terry and Sheila before we knew each other and it was because of them we met. They were both in our wedding party 27 years ago and we shared a lot of good times.
Paul wrote the nicest tribute to Terry on Facebook:
I met Terry through my career in the moving industry. Terry helped me in many facets of my life. He introduced me to English Springer Spaniels and to Anne ( in that order). I am truly saddened by his passing and will miss him. Thanks for everything Terry, you made my life a lot better by being a part of it!
Sheila,Lindsay and Michael we think of you all at this most difficult time and send you hugs and our deepest condolences.
Terry we will miss you and always remember you fondly. Mostly we will remember the great love that you and Sheila had for each other. Rest in peace. Xo

Dearest Sheila, Lindsay, and Michael,
In Remberance of Terry Kingsborough
As you know after my marriage to George in 1974, and moving to Canada, I was a very lucky young woman that quickly met two wonderful people, you Sheila and Terry. I believe you both were placed in my path by God. Sheila you and Terry are a blessing to me, as you were to my beloved husband George. I cherish all the years and memories of our steadfast friendship. It never wavered, it remained strong and true. We shared so much joy, laughter, and love between the four of us.
Sheila I never had a sister, but you my friend are, I guess I could say my soul sister. Dearest Terry is and always will be a brother, a friend more kind and loving to me than my own blood. George’s true best friend, he loved him, I love him too.
How do I sum up the measure of this extraordinary human being, your husband Terry? Is it the great capacity for love, compassion, and friendship he felt for you? – yes of course. The wonderful father who gave his unconditional love, guidance, and friendship to his children? – yes of course. Terry knew the true meaning of family. He opened his heart and home to all who needed a safe haven. Terry was also a good son, brother, brother-in law, uncle and a true friend to many. A champion in the face of adversity through many years of health struggles. Terry had an appreciation of music, art, sports, nature, and a dry sense of humour. I could go on and on, about this multifaceted man.
Sheila I know you know this, you lived and shared most of your life with Terry, who better to know how special he was than you. You carry his heart in your heart.
The love Terry gave to you all, in time, will bring you peace, and warmth into your heart. I love you Sheila. I am here for you always. May God and his angels grant you, Linday and Michael the strength to continue your journey on this earth plane. And to our beloved Terry…God is with you as you travel “Into the Mystic”…
Love Always,
Sandra
My son Carson also sends you his love and is so sorry for your loss.

Dear Sheila, Lindsay and Michael:
Please know that I am sending all of my love and support.
I had the privilege of working with Terry for a short time. He was a man of few words, but when he spoke he always gave you pearls of wisdom for which I am thankful he shared with me. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a very contagious laugh. Terry definitely made this world a better place and we are all better people for having him in our life even if it was for a brief time.
Thank you for sharing him with me.

Dear Sheila and Family – it was with shock and sadness that I learned of Terry’s passing from Patti & Len. I am so very sorry for this loss to your family. From the many condolences, I can see that Terry was a well loved person. It is hard to believe that both Sandra and Terry went to be with the Lord within weeks of each other. I remember seeing Terry and yourself at my own dad’s funeral visitation in 2009 and was so happy to hear that Terry received a kidney transplant just a year ago. While I haven’t been close to you both for many years I do recall as a youngster staying with Uncle Tom & Aunt Ren in Oakville and having a cookout in the back yard and playing ball with Terry. I was a bridesmaid for Sandra & Harry when they married many years ago. So many years have gone by but Sandra would call on Christmas Day even after I moved to the States. Once again, I extend my heartfelt sympathy to your family. Regards and love, Pat Thurston Southern (Don & Len’s sister)

Would love to get together Sheila for lunch, a walk with the dogs, whatever – when you are ready. In the meantime, thinking of you and love to you, Jill

This is very sad indeed, but I want to let all of Terry’s family know that it was always a pleasure dealing with Terry as a dispatcher at United, usually by phone, but even more of a pleasure to have gotten to meet him over the years in person.
I will miss him.

To the Kingsborough Family,
I remember working with Terry for more years than I care to mention. I remember at times wondering if he was serious or not but soon caught on to his dry sense of humour, and I can tell you I grew to truly appreciate it. He was always a calm and reasonable voice and willing to do his best for the customer and the member family. I had the pleasure of working with Lindsay for a bit and I am truly sorry for your loss.
What a wonderful legacy has been left as seen by the many tributes above. God be with you in your time of loss.
