Terri passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 19, 2017, in her 86th year, her loving daughter Lea Anne at her side. Terri supported many charitable causes, believing that she had been greatly blessed in her life where others had not. Unfailingly honest, but never unkind, she found joy and happiness in the smallest things most days of her life and lived life to its fullest on her terms without sacrificing the happiness of others. She is predeceased by her husband Charles David (Chuck), her parents Ada (née Tiveron) and Pietro Violino, and her sisters June Dubleau and Shirlee Violino. She leaves to enjoy memories of her many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, neighbours, and friends. She loved music; classical and Frank Sinatra, theatre, ballet, opera, art, moving plants around in her garden, reading mysteries, traveling by train, road trips with Chuck, and a good bottle of wine. She hated to cook and found great joy in trying new restaurants. There are no words to express how greatly she will be missed by Lea Anne who considered Terri to be her best friend in the world, besides being her Mother. Lea Anne would like to thank the nurses, staff, and volunteers at Bethell Hospice for all the care, compassion, support and friendship they provided, and Dr. Weiss for his help and compassion.
Respecting her wishes cremation has taken place and there is no visitation or funeral service. Lea Anne invites family and friends to join her on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Glen Eagle Golf Club, 15731 Regional Road 50 (Hwy. 50), Caledon from 1:30 to 5 p.m., to visit and reminisce or share a thought. Dress code: casual and cheerful clothing. A shuttle service will be available.
Should you wish to honour Terri’s memory – mess around in your garden (when the weather is better), read a good book, enjoy a glass of wine, hug someone and tell them you love them, and please consider making a donation to Bethell Hospice Foundation, P.O. Box 75, Inglewood L7C 3L6 (www.bethellhospice.org) or your favourite charity.

Lea Anne:
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your Mom. She was so nice. I only got to know her about 2 years ago when I was walking by her house and I stopped to admire her beautiful lilacs and she popped out the the bushes and asked me if I would like some. She was so nice always showing me around her beautiful property, her house, sitting and chatting. I would hear great stories about her travels, her cottage, her driving(she liked to drive fast), mice problems she had at the cottage and that my mom had at home and the great times she would spend downtown with you etc. She was truly an amazing person who I was glad to call a great friend! She will be missed!

Dear Lea Anne, I was sad to read of your Mom’ passing. She was such a fun lady who will be greatly missed by those who knew her. Along with your Father, Charles, I still remember their visit to the newspaper office in Bolton many years ago. My father, Werden was so delighted to finally have distant Leavens cousins living in our small town. Over the years , I enjoyed meeting with Terri and Charles at cousin picnics and when shopping. Most recently, I would visit with your Mom at the Bolton Historical meetings. She was always happy to greet me and we would always catch-up on recent family news. I will miss your Mom, but will remember her friendly smile and the cheerful visits we had together.

Dear Leanne and Family
I am saddened to hear about Teri’s passing. I enjoyed my time with her and Leanne while working for Care Partners. She could tell a really good story. I will plant some sunflowers this spring and dig a spot for some real tomatoes to grow in the ground. I will think of her when the little green sprouts finally break the ground.
