To the family of Val Splaine, please accept my condolences on the passing of Val earlier this week. Val (and Ron) go back a long long way to not only belonging to the same euchre club for several years but I used to travel daily with Ron on the GO Bus to downtown Toronto. Ron to his job at the Royal Bank me to Ontario Hydro.
At tax time, Val and I shared many stories about Val’s early life from Surrey England, especially the story about how Val’s mother was strafed by a returning German fighter plane during the Battle of Britain in 1940. Her mother lived in the same vicinity as my father’s ancestors.
In addition, I am Val’s tax accountant and have been for many years going back to the days I mentioned above. I always found Val a friendly, honest and gracious tax client and I sincerely send my condolences to Tanya and family at this time.

Tanya and family, John and I were so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. We have a lot of wonderful memories of playing cards for many years with your parents. I also played cards with your mother at our ladies group. I would pick her up and she enjoyed sharing information about your life and adventures. She especially enjoyed the many holidays you were on together.

Fond memories of my older Canadian cousin. So pleased that Val was able to visit the UK a few years back and met up with my sister Christine who sends her love and sympathy, as do I, to Wayne, Lynn, Lea, Tanya and families.

We offer our sincere condolences to Tanya and our entire Canadian family on the sorrowful passing of Valerie.
During the limited time that we have spent over the years with Val, Ron and Tanya it was always such a joyful and memorable experience. It was so lovely that she was able to drop by with Tanya and Deanna for a few days on their way home following a holiday to Ireland and the UK a few years ago.
Val was such a caring person, she will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.
Our thoughts will be with you all today.

Dear Tanya and family,
Bob, Greg and I are sorry to hear about your mother’s death. It’s been years since we lived on Dingle Court. We remember the good times with all you kids playing together, even at this time of year . . . the giant snow pile in the middle of the court and parents helping each other to “dig out” after big snow storms. I wish that I’d known your mum better. It seems we would have had many similar interests.
Sincere condolences to you and your family.
