Our sincere condolences to Andrew, Elise, Caroline, Kayla and Tyler.
Valerie will be sadly missed by us. She was a dear friend – a person always willing to help when needed, and a cheerful soul, always guaranteed to make one feel happier after being in her company. We have had many happy hours together, both in Canada and in Mexico, and as said, she will be sadly missed.

So truly sorry to hear of the loss of both Valerie and Bill. We met them years ago, when they lived in Oshawa, and it was so nice to have met another ” Geordie” family. Valerie was such a lovely soul, and I’ll never forget her reaction on the day I met her. She was a crossing guard at the primary school that I attended in Oshawa, and when she heard me speak, she was totally shocked that there was a Geordie amongst her school kids. From there, my parents became very friendly with Val and Bill, and we became friends with Andrew, Catherine, Caroline and Elise. Unfortunately, they moved to Bolton and we just lost touch, due to the distance. I have nothing but good memories of the time that we spent with the Saunders family, which only happened because of Val’s fantastic ear for the Geordie dialect. My deepest sympathies go out to Andrew, Catherine, Caroline, and Elise, and I will keep my happy thoughts of such a lovely family always.
