Peacefully surrounded by his family “Bill” McKendrick surrendered joyfully into the arms of Jesus at Brampton Civic Hospital on Monday, August 20, 2012. William (Bill) McKendrick of Bolton, in his 78th year, formerly of South Kildare, PEI, born in Glasgow, Scotland, lovingly remembered by his beloved wife of 57 years Elizabeth McKendrick (nee Hunter). Leaves behind 7 children; Janice, Billy (Linda), David (Heidi), Paul (Donna), Mary, Stephen (Beth), Andrew and predeceased by Elaine and John; 25 grandchildren, Marion (Doug) MacDonald, Mark (Jana) Muir, Jessica (Paul) Foster, Johnathon (late Shannon) Muir, Kathleen (Adam) McInnis, Debra (Mike) MacDonald, Crystal, Lindsey, Ashley, Jeremy (Michelle), and Heather McKendrick; Charlene (Anthony) Iancosta, Matthew, Alisha (Randy), Nichole and Katie McKendrick; Christina (Darcy) Getson, Sarah (Scott) Doucette, Jillian (Jeff) Costain, Ashley (Ross) Douglas, Chelsea (Ben) Bremner, Marrisa, Zachary, Brittany and Victoria McKendrick; 18 great grandchildren Keagan, Carson, Kylie, Tanner, Morgan, Simon, Isabella, Grayden, Bennet, Zachary, Oliver, Naomi, Bryce, Dominic, Ethan, Paige, Bree, Parker and predeceased by Owen and Landen. Predeceased by his cherished Grannie Mary McKendrick and parents David and Mary (Mollie Grant) McKendrick. Bill will be missed by his dear sister Mollie (Alister) Easton and sister-in-law Margaret (late David) Baxter. Predeceased by brother-in-law William and his wife Doreen Hunter.
The family will receive their friends at the Egan Funeral Home, 203 Queen Street S., Bolton on Wednesday evening 7 – 9 o’clock.
Graveside service will be held at Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bolton on Thursday morning, August 23 at 11 o’clock.
