In July 2009, I travelled to Orangeville from Nova Scotia to see the Farm Tractor Show. For the occasion, I was looking for an overnight location in town and decided to stay at a Bed & Breakfast, at The McKitrick House Inn. There, I met the owner Sheila and her loving husband William. I will always remember the great conversation we had, William and I, during my short stay. It is with great sadness that William will not be there for another great conversation. He will be missed.

Sheila, Alec, Fionna, Dave, Jade, Owen & Noah,
Our hearts are breaking today not only for ourselves but for all of you. Will loved all of you so much & was so proud of each of you and all of your accomplishments. Alec, I remember your Dad once saying that he loved you more than life itself. And Fionna the last time I spoke with him, he talked admiringly about what a terrific Mother you were and what a beautiful family you had. He
wanted only the best for all of you. Remember his sense of humour, his laughter, passion for Sheila’s homemade desserts (& just about any of her amazing cooking!) the crazy love he had for his children and his grandchildren, his easy way with people, his kind heart, his storytelling, his love of cars, animals and pyrohy!
We are so blessed to have had Will in our lives. May God help you through this very difficult time.

Bill and I were friends since high school and were in the same college course in North Bay. Although I had not been close to Bill in recent years, the good times we had together will always be fond and vivid memories. He was always a gentle man and a great friend.
I remember Bill as a superb mechanic with vast knowledge and exceptional skill. I always looked at him as a mentor when it came to mechanics, or maybe we were more like kindred spirits. In my career working with mechanical systems, I think of Bill often when trying to do a “proper” job or deciding if I should buy the proper tool.
No words can describe my sympathy for you.
My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
